We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Senior Financial Analyst, supporting the Global Clinical Affairs organization, to join our team in the Plymouth, MN location.  In this unique role, you will have both finance and accounting responsibilities.  This includes general month-end close duties, journal entry preparation and account reconciliation, monthly variance analysis, and reporting.  This role will also provide input to leadership to reach expense targets and achieve annual operating plan commitments. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries and review accounting classifications in accordance with GAAP
  • Perform variance analysis of actual vs plan results and investigate any variances and their impact
  • Partner with the business to provide forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling support
  • Generate and distribute consolidated financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) to leadership, and providing appropriate commentary
  • Participate on special projects as assigned
  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline 
    • 4+ years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance including writing and posting journal entries, account reconciliations, variance and financial analysis, forecasting, and planning
    • General level of understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and intercompany transactions
    • Proficiency with Excel, including performing VLOOKUP’s and creating Pivot tables
    • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization

      • Medical device experience
