**A Day in the Life**

As our Senior Finance manager you will lead all financial aspects for our Local Yokneam site and reporting for the greater US and Global GIH Business ( https://www.medtronic.com/covidien/en-us/clinical-solutions/gastrointestinal-health/products.html ).

In this role you will report to our Senior Finance Director located at Sunnyvale, CA.

As part of your day to day you will:

+ Serve as the main financial consultant and business partner to the GIH Sr. Finance Director and Yokneam located site leader.Provide advice and counsel from a strategic viewpoint, identify areas for improvement and ensure the site remains focused on actions needed to achieve its goals.

+ Responsible for budgets and accounting transactions within US GAAP accounting principles and Medtronic Policies

+ Be key contact and subject matter expert for acquisition accounting for Medtronic in Israel with Corporate accounting departments

+ Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of new additional controls procedures that align with overall Medtronic policies

+ Provide supporting financial analysis including analysis of profit-and-loss statements, development of forecasts, risks and opportunities and analyses. Compare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial results to planned or forecasted results, explain variances and make recommendations for future actions.

+ Responsible for all statutory aspects of the business

+ Manage Accounting and FPA functions, including providing work direction and guidance, monitoring and balancing workloads to ensure timely and accurate work product, reviewing work and providing coaching and feedback

+ Work closely with manufacturing operations group, EMEA shared services and teams at other GIH/corporate sites

+ Lead complex internal process improvement projects which may include ERP implementations, MA activity, internal business transfers with cross functional teams and other projects as assigned

+ Identify and drive continuous process improvement throughout the core financial close and reporting consolidations process

+ Remote or in-person participation in GIH Business and Corporate Medtronic meetings, conferences, events as required

**Must Have:**

+ Undergrad degree in accounting or finance

+ Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience

+ CPA with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting and internal control requirements

+ Previous experience with a global manufacturing company and recent exposure to a similar finance role

+ English and Hebrew language proficiency

**Nice to have:**

+ Solid technical knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SAP a plus

+ Ability to travel (approx. 25%) to other MDT locations for meetings and projects
