What you'll do

The candidate would manage technical collaborations and evaluations with our customers to drive greater adoption of our products. By demonstrating our product strengths, helping to optimize workflows, resolving issues & establishing constructive partnerships, the candidate will lead Design-in opportunities from the technical side, focusing on genomics & diagnostics solutions with special focus on next generation sequencing & chemiluminescence.

The candidate will provide technical support and training to our overall commercial team including our distribution network. The candidate will coordinate with our R&D, modality specialists & commercial organization to deliver customer focused solutions. It is expected that the role will require travel 50-70% of time.

  • Lead technical projects in the field, develop understanding of customer issues in order to troubleshoot, coordinating resources to achieve successful outcomes
  • Develop customer relationships, identify and translate customer needs into workable solutions that drive business success and revenue growth
  • To provide technical and applications based support to the sales and marketing teams
  • Use customer feedback and general awareness to identify new opportunities and unmet needs in relation to new product proposals and product modifications.
  • Identify technologies that could support the business strategy & engage with the internal and external stakeholders to progress to execution
  • Develop and support custom opportunities translating Customer needs into successful outcomes
  • Generate and deliver technical training, both internally and externally, e.g. seminars, lunch & learns, conferences etc.

    Who you are

    • Strong technical background in Genomics, Molecular Diagnostics & immunodiagnostics/Chemiluminescence applications, special focus around Next Generation Sequencing & emerging applications such as Single Cell.
    • Ability to build technical relationships, internal and external collaborations with industry leading scientists
    • Experience listening to and discussing technical applications with customers to develop desirable outcomes
    • To work collaboratively across functions and geographies to drive execution
    • Practical experience in immunodiagnostic and molecular diagnostic assay development with understanding of key performance requirements Knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing workflows across multiple platforms
    • Experience using or developing applications that use magnetic particles for diagnostic assays, nucleic acid extraction & cleanup
    • Experience working with customers to understand and translate requirements into an effective solution either directly in the laboratory or through R&D scientists
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
    • Bachelors or Masters degree in biochemistry or immunology or equivalent plus relevant experience in molecular biology and/or immunodiagnostics assay fields

      • Bachelor's degree preferred
      • Strong leadership skills (respected by peers and leadership for contributions to the business)
      • Strong presentation skills (public speaking and lecture experience desired)
      • Demonstrated interpersonal & communication skills (ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to external customers, global counterparts and to team members in other functional organizations)
      • Solid problem solving skills (ability to manage and resolve conflict, communicate issues and propose solutions to both internal team members and external customers)
      • Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process)
      • Self-motivated, willingness to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take actions to improve
      • Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time
      • Willingness to be flexible/adapt to changing work environments
      • Clinical experience in large hospital/university setting preferred
      • Advanced certification/registries desired
      • Demonstrated advanced clinical scanning skills
      • Experience on all current GE products for which responsibilities cover
      • Experience within GE Clinical Applications or Clinical Marketing roles
