We are looking for experienced vulnerability management engineers to work in the Global Cyber Defense & Design department, part of the SAP Global Security Organization.

 

The Role

In this role, your focus and areas of responsibility will be mainly concentrated on the area of Enterprise Vulnerability Management. We are looking for an experienced candidate to operate vulnerability scans, execute emergency patch processes, automate work processes, analyze vulnerabilities and coordinate with both IT and SAP customers.

Working as part of a multi-cultural team, you will independently solve complex tasks within general assignments, and take responsibility for the results of assigned projects and tasks. You will also work on the development and optimization of automations (scripts, programs) to eliminate recurring, structured and manual tasks, and support conceptual activities.

You will need to be able to communicate and convey information in a timely, clear and understandable way, providing constructive feedback to colleagues.
 

Role Requirements

With at least five years experience in security and risk management, ideally in cyber defense and vulnerability management, you will have the following technical skills and knowledge:
 

  • Experience with IT (operating systems, network, databases) and IT security knowledge (system and network security)
  • Good knowledge of Application Security Testing/Penetration Testing
  • Basic knowledge in Patch Management and relevant standards and certifications (ISO/SOC)
  • Experience with the functionality of software vulnerabilities as well as of the vulnerability scanning tools (e.g. Nessus, Tenable.SC, Nexpose)
  • Experience with scripting languages required (Python, PowerShell, Perl)
  • Solid foundation in penetration testing techniques
  • Secure handling of network and Pentest tools (Metasploit, SQLmap, Nmap, ...)

The SAP Global Cyber Defense & Design Team enables us to develop the necessary digital resilience and the appropriate responses to counter threats to our business. The team covers operational tasks in the areas of prevention, detection and elimination of cyber threats within our global security framework. This allows us to develop the necessary resilience and countermeasures to keep pace with the rapidly developing and growing external threats.
