-
Jobs Rated59th
DESCRIPTION
Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Developer Advocate to drive adoption of GraphQL on AWS, participate actively in the GraphQL community, and influence the direction and roadmap of AWS AppSync. The AWS AppSync service gives developers the ability to create serverless GraphQL APIs that simplify application development by providing a single endpoint to securely query or update data from multiple data sources, and leverage GraphQL subscriptions to implement engaging real-time application experiences by automatically publishing data updates to subscribed API clients via serverless WebSockets connections. In this role, youll combine your passion for developer enablement with your ability to creatively generate grass-roots attention and enthusiasm for both GraphQL and AWS AppSync among developers, technologists, and key industry opinion makers.
Ideally, youre someone who can write code with the best of them, but get great satisfaction from guiding developers and enterprises towards a technology you heartily believe in. You have immediate credibility with developers but are equally at home working with decision makers at large enterprises. You love to share your passion with others and exhibit good judgment in selecting strategic opportunities to do so. You dont just want to be part of an industry movement, you want to be out front leading it. If this sounds like you, this is your dream job. Your responsibilities will include:
- Active participation in the open source GraphQL community, including proposing new projects and contributing to existing projects
- Creating GraphQL best practices content in the form of articles, screencasts, white papers and tutorials
- Gaining industry recognition and credibility as a regular attendee, panelist, and keynote speaker at meetups, technology conferences, trade shows and press events
- Delivering compelling presentations, product demos, sample solutions, and discussions to drive adoption of GraphQL and AWS AppSync
- Identifying potential partnerships and clients and assisting with pre-sales support
- Collaborating with product management to help shape the AWS AppSync product roadmap
- Maintaining a strong and credible presence in social media channels relevant to developers
- Working with your worldwide counterparts to share best practices and help build a best-in-the-industry developer advocacy organization
