The Senior Compliance Consultant, is a key position on the team that will drive the development and execution of compliance programs. These programs are designed to support our pharmacies, and organization with solving for compliance risks by analyzing related items, mandates, board of pharmacy rules and regulations, as well as supporting compliance to our corporate integrity agreement.


In this role you will lead multiple high profile work streams that ensure our Long Term Care organization and its colleagues are complying with all state and federal regulations as well as all applicable internal policies and mandates. You will work with a sense of urgency and be accountable for delivering high quality results while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and integrity.


In addition you will operationalize compliance matters presented by the Business Compliance Office by:


Gathering data points to analyze items as they are presented

Gathering business partners as necessary to work as a problem solving team

Identifying root cause

Managing timelines

Making solution recommendations to leadership

Implementing agreed upon solutions


You will also partner with field and business partners to:


Support operational compliance questions

Obtain appropriate answers and fill communication/policy gaps as identified

Take in reports of potential findings in the field and report to the Business Compliance Office as necessary


This person can live anywhere in the United States as long as they are near an Omnicare Pharmacy


This position reports directly to the Director, Operations Compliance and will routinely interact with the following groups: Loss Prevention, Business Compliance, Pharmacy Operations, IS/IT, Legal, Regulatory, Pharmacy Merchandising, Quality and Safety, Field Leadership, and Payer Relations.


Responsibilities and the percentage on time spent on each:


1. Facility credentialing: Critical Activity Review of license and credentialing form for facility includes a review of state regs, and coordinate lead meetings with credentialing committee, interface with rx regulatory and legal. Track all activities associated with credentialing and ensure adherence as it relates to all new facilities on boarding with Omnicare. 25%

2. Field compliance support: Respond to all field inquiries regarding operational compliance questions within a 48 hour service level. Responses must be professional, accurate and according to policy and law. Requires research, partnering across boundaries, engage and inspire (to meet service level agreement). Must have a deep working knowledge of Omnicare practice and procedure. 25%

3. Prescription Validation Will own the prescription validation program. A key element of the Compliance pillar in the scorecard. Responsible for all tracking, auditing and reporting elements, until a PRF can be sponsored to move over to COE in 21 5%

4. Mandates Manage all inbound mandates (Rx Regulatory) sent from the BCO, review requirements, meet with Regulatory and legal as necessary. Determine what is necessary from an operational perspective, build the framework, and launch the necessary requirements to the identified sites. 25%

5. Controlled Substance Inventory Own and maintain the annual Controlled Substance inventory process executed each year in our sites. 5%

6. Compliance Monitors Ensure all Compliance monitors initiated by the BCO are executed and followed through accurately and on time. 15%


**Required Qualifications**

Minimum of three years of experience in Long Term Care Pharmacy operations


**Preferred Qualifications**

CPHT

Self starter who can work with minimal direction

Ability to analyze trends, identify risk and develop creative solutions, processes and workflow

Understand measures and metrics for tracking success and ensuring compliance to all risks and policies

Executive presence and be comfortable in highly visible situation

Think with a compliance mindset

Ability to be flexible and change direction as needed

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

Strong written and verbal skills-including formal presentation

Ability to impact and influence key partners

Understand data and make sound recommendations, and business decisions based on facts


**Education**

Bachelor's in a related field or equivalent experience
