We are looking for an experienced team member with the drive and the enthusiasm to join us as a Senior Business Development Manager for NSW/ACT. This is a rare and coveted opportunity within Medtronic and one that will provide extensive interaction with senior stakeholders across the Medtronic business and our customer C-Suite.

**A day in the Life:**


Reporting into the Strategic Sales Manager (ANZ) of the CVG business, you will be required to understand the commercial environment of our customers and provide tailored and innovative solutions to drive profitable growth opportunities across portfolio, which also deliver mutual value and serve to strengthen Medtronics position in the market.


**In this role you will:**


+ Support the CVG sales leaders to deliver annual revenue across the four core Business Units of CVG

+ Protect core business and generate incremental revenue from a portfolio of Key Accounts within your nominated State(s) in accordance with agreed targets

+ Own the C-Suite relationship (CEO, CFO etc) and serve as the lead point of contact for all business development related matters for CVG Key Accounts in your region

+ Be the lead Corporate Accounts Manager for the CVG business for one or more National Corporate Buying Groups and work as required as part of a pan-Medtronic team of Corporate Account Managers

+ Maximise business results through outstanding stewardship of customer rebate agreements, contracted pricing offers and investments

+ Manage sales related activities including proposal preparation, presentation, contract and terms negotiations, price negotiation and cost analysis, liability and exposure management and negotiation, for your region

+ Seek out new opportunities, work towards an overall CVG target and be an invaluable business partner for CVG Business Leads/Directors


**Must Have:**


+ Minimum of 5 years sales or business leadership experience in the medical devices sector

+ Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Sales, Economics or Marketing (Bachelors Degree as a minimum)

+ Demonstrated skills and competencies to operate in a sales leadership role

+ A proven successful sales record

+ Integrity is paramount. Talking straight and seeking feedback is viewed as critical to success

+ Proven business acumen with the ability to negotiate complex contract terms

+ Ability to generate financial analyses to a high standard

+ An effective presenter with professional presentation and "Presence"

+ An expert influencer with a proven ability to negotiate

+ Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to communicates with

+ Knowledge of industry trends, developments and market conditions

+ Understanding of health care system requirements (outcomes research, cost, etc.)

+ Excellent computer literacy including a high level of knowledge MS Office suite of software.

+ Have an excellent working knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand Private Health Insurer industry, Private Hospital Buying Groups and individual private hospital mechanisms and KPIs

+ An excellent knowledge of the Public Hospital sector, DHHS and State Procuring bodies in Australia/New Zealand

+ Post graduate Business qualification highly regarded
