Description Scope: This position will create, own and lead our next generation EG Analytics. Specifically: Govern Employer Group Analytics communityo Drive adoption of DH&A sponsored tools (i.e. Microsoft BI) o Provide guidance and training for new tools to the communityo Communicate relative information and updates to analytics community, create transparency for key analytic use cases; metrics on data tool usageo Actively support and contribute to building functional business partner capability in business intelligenceEG Segment key point of contact for DH&A/leveraging DH&A resourceso Represent EG in Analytics Executive Steering Committee, EG in Data Governance Leadership Council, Clinical (CPS) governance councilo Key point of contact for relevant external partnershipsDevelop EG data Strategyo Partner with DH&A to develop standards for EG data governance, quality, and controlo Create roadmap of key data assets and interoperability of datao Create structure for various data domains over the segment (e.g. member, consumer, etc.)Lead prioritization process of analytic use cases and data lake filtrationo Collaborate with key functional leaders in EG to identify critical use caseso Partner with DH&A & IT to develop roadmap for execution of use caseso Identify critical cross functional analytic use cases to improve the customer experienceo Lead/create recommendations on resource allocation Responsibilities Scale: Leadership requirements in this role are: + Providing recommendations, technical guidance and advice to senior executives, along with significant influence on mid level leadership to initiate action + Making decisions with high impact e.g. prioritization and identification of the problems to solve, many of which will subsequently require leadership to initiate and implement organizational and/or operational change + Being the go-to for the segment as well as owning complex initiatives, many of which will be enterprise wide in that they will connect to DH&A, IT, and Retail for shared data and reusable capabilities + Anticipating business needs and resources, plus influencing how resources are allocated and aligned for initiatives on a longer term horizon (12-24 months) + Leading agile teams in execution of use cases and potentially a permanent team of 5-7 as EG scales and grows. Impact: + This is a highly critical role for the Enterprise. This position will need to balance delivery of analytics, insights and ML to senior stakeholders in all business units with an enterprise wide responsibility for our citizen analysts, and building their skills in business intelligence + This position will lead EG from a data analytics strategy perspective as we shift into our digital product transformation and move to become a cloud-native technology company. + This position must be able to influence Enterprise-wide change at the senior most level within the company. + This role will enable us to leverage technology and data as a core asset for the company by turning clinical, operational, actuarial, and financial and consumer data into a valuable insight to support the growth strategy and its focus on consumer optimization, wellness and experience. + This job must be successful in order for us to create, and transform our new platforms, products and initiatives over EG. + This position will play a key role on Humanas various data/analytics leadership committees (test and learn, ECOM/CDS, DH&A among others) within the business and together with other executives, and will participate and directly influence business wide decision making and strategy formulation from a data strategy perspective. Attributes in an ideal candidate: Employment or work history + Career path has varied experience spanning technology and business roles + Strong background in analytics and data governance with an established track record of success in similar sized company, ideally in healthcare. Career experience + Strong leadership skills, culture shaper, talent builder, influencer and collaborator that must effectively engage senior leadership and the broad organization to execute towards common goals. + A career foundation of mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions, demonstrating understanding work that develops, maintains, and collects structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and tactics.
