Security Specialist, Technology Program Lead - North America Security

Geo Security Technical Program Manager serves as Subject Matter Expert for all technical deployments of security systems within Geo area of responsibility; review CapEx plans and manage all technical projects to successful attainment of cost, schedule and performance objectives by working through appropriate Security teams. Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, while maintaining focus despite conflicting demands. Keep management apprised of all projects within Geo which involve security technology and assist Geo with maintaining compliance with applicable IBM Security and CIO instructions and standards. Serve as liaison between the Corporate Security Systems and Technical Delivery group and the Geo Security Operations teams.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Ensure continued innovation focus to drive on-going productivity enhancements resulting in improved security performance while reducing cost. With particular focus on standardization of processes, utilization of common tools,and further consolidation of control centers activity.
  • Incorporate global integration and on-demand strategies and techniques into the security process by providing timely, creative and effective security advice while containing security risks and exposures.
  • Identify and prioritize business technology needs and execute approved solutions to resolve critical business-related issues with focus at the Corporate level, that leads to global integration.
  • Define and communicate technology requirements to providers of service and review design specifications and deliverable s for adherence to specifications and suitability for deployment.
  • Work with the Security organization and cross-functional colleagues (IT, HR, Procurement, etc.) to determine appropriate business technology strategy on a national, geographic and/or global basis. Manage and direct complex programs, using joint leadership model with process owner, to include development of the overall innovation business case, securing cross-functional resources, mitigating and resolving conflict, communicating timely progress and phase reviews to key stakeholders and ensuring valid contingency planning.

  • Business unit professional with experience related to operations, business controls, expense management and strategy implementation.

  • Plans and conducts complex negotiations reaching lasting agreements and commitments.

  • Leads business unit, country, or international teams. Directs special projects,
  • Has vision of overall business strategies.
  • Develops and implements business controls and security technology strategies.
  • Recognized as a leader by members of the country security management team and CHQ security operations.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Readiness to travel 10% travel annually
  • English: Fluent
