Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is searching for a Sector Processing Architect in support of future RF Sensor Systems and EO/IR Sensor Systems.

This person will have a technology leadership position that will span multiple roles:

+ Establishing relationships with processing vendors (Mercury Systems, HPE, Curtiss Wright, Abaco, Extreme Engineering Solutions, Intel, etc.). Be comfortable working with Senior Technical leaders at those companies and be able to facilitate meetings between executive leads at NG and those partners.
+ Leading a hardware focused advisory board and be able to facilitate a group of highly technical individuals with the goal of achieving commonality and roadmaps.
+ Coordinating the division's technical and business needs related to processing, and driving synergy between programs for near term adoption (less than 3 years).
+ Developing a distributed processing architecture infrastructure that is compatible with internal, industry, and DoD Open standards.
+ Working with interdisciplinary teams to develop a system architecture and allocating functionality to system embedded computing components such as Single Board Computers, SoCs, mixed-signal ASICs, RF ICs and FPGAs.
+ Perform trade studies to optimize aspects of system performance such as size, weight, power, dynamic range, latency, throughput, security provisions, etc.

Responsibilities will include:

+ Support the sector CTO and CM&D Portfolio leads for business alignment with NGMS divisions for determining Processing Core Building Blocks
+ Coordinate with stakeholders to create processing building block requirement specifications
+ Work with System, Software, RF, Security, and Platform architects to define overall architectures to meet the common product requirements
+ Collaborate with design and implementation teams to ensure requirements are met on schedule and within budget
+ Monitor and participate in the development of industry standards.

**Qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM field.
+ 20+ years of professional experience in related industry (18+ Years with Masters; 15+ Years with PhD)
+ Experience and strong background in developing processing and digital subsystems
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Demonstrated leadership and teamwork strengths
+ US Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ MS Degree with at least 18+ years of professional experience in related industry
+ ACTIVE US Security Clearance at Secret level or higher
+ Experience and strong background in developing processing and digital subsystems
+ Domain knowledge and experience in some of the following or similar areas: Radar, Communications, Electronic Warfare, Surveillance, EO/IR, Mission computing, Open Architecture computing, secure processing, software frameworks, Digital Signal Processing, SWAP Constrained Processor, Embedded Networking
