What is the role?

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Legal Services Coordinator (LSC) will work as part of Human Rights Firsts Washington, D.C.-based Refugee Representation team, while providing general LSC support to other offices as needed. The Legal Services Coordinator will work closely with our asylum-seeking clients, and in-house and volunteer attorneys during the clients immigration cases. The Legal Services Coordinator will coordinate and conduct initial screenings and interviews with asylum seekers seeking legal representation; handle the administrative details of our asylum legal representation work, including scheduling and case management; and assist with development, outreach and advocacy goals related to asylum and refugee protection.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in responding to inquiries and requests for assistance from asylum seekers, including scheduling, coordinating, and conducting initial screening interviews;

Perform in-depth, detailed interviews with potential clients, who are often victims of torture and human rights abuses, to ascertain their eligibility for asylum and representation through our program; and conduct related country conditions research;

Assist in placing accepted cases with appropriate volunteer attorneys; communicate in a responsive and efficient manner with volunteer attorneys, other human rights organizations, and the public; and assist in the provision of support for volunteer attorneys;

Contact volunteer attorneys and clients to obtain updates on cases; coordinate the case closure process; and serve as liaison among volunteer attorneys, clients, and in-house Refugee Representation team staff, as needed;

Organize legal trainings, clinics, and other events;

Participate in and support workshops and presentations that provide asylum seekers with legal information about the asylum process;

Assist in managing the Refugee Representation teams administrative/clerical needs:

- entering, updating, maintaining, and retrieving data relating to cases, clients, potential clients, volunteer attorneys, and other contacts in our database, and coordinating with the information services department on database and technology issues;

General Summary

Requirements: Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Must be able to manage multiple projects, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities with a positive, proactive attitude; Ability to work with vendor on releases and enhancements. Certified PMP is a plus. Excellent verbal, documentation, and critical thinking skills. Able to see, define and implement new processes. PMO experience is an additional plus.

Primary Job Functions

Marketing Strategy Work with key contributors and stakeholders to develop marketing strategies and planning across Zoot Enterprises portfolio, mapping out the work efforts required for implementation.

Project Timeline & Budget - Create project/campaign budgets and timelines and ensure adherence. Support the creation and management of overall marketing budget and track/document department expenses. See projects to completion and launch to appropriate channels: Sales Enablement, Social Media, Website, Email, Ad/Media Platform, Print Shop, News Wire, etc.

Software, Vendors, Services Manage and administer technology/software/services as the primary point of contact for vendor relationships/contracts. Own and operate full-suite tech stack for lead flow, reporting, analytics, email campaigns, events, advertising, direct mail, printing and group expense administration.

Events Oversee logistics for live or virtual events/tradeshows.

Manage Launch and Distribution See projects to completion and launch to appropriate channels: Sales Enablement, Social Media, Website, Email, Ad/Media Platform, Print Shop, News Wire, etc.

Drive Organized Processes Manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various work streams on track. Includes incoming requests, workflows, editorial review, design review and approvals across departments.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field is required.

3+ years of related professional work experience is required.

Expert-level knowledge and experience with software/tools like Salesforce, Pardot, Sendoso, Sprout Social, Google Ads, Concur, etc.

Experience with and understanding of demand gen funnels and Account Based Marketing (ABM) program design and delivery.

Expert-level knowledge of Project Management theory and best practices across marketing asset/campaign/program creation workflows.

Experience managing virtual and/or live events (Tradeshow, etc).

Demonstrated experience executing complex, cross-functional, multi-stakeholder SaaS or High Tech Services marketing projects. (Across product, sales, legal, and marketing).

Experience managing, reporting on and analyzing marketing and operational metrics (campaign performance, marketing attribution, ROI, etc.).

Demonstrated ability to focus on the details while preserving a hi-level view of multiple in-flight projects.
