The position is responsible for recognizing and interpreting deviations from expected results. Exhibiting some creativity in designing subsequent experimentation. Receives general instructions on routine experimental procedures. Independently follows established protocols. May require detailed supervision on new assignments. Takes regular direction/ coaching from supervisor. Effective in people interactions and is recognized as important contributor to designated projects. Proficient writing abilities and expected to contribute to reports in area of expertise. Contributes to team meetings and present own data to peers. May participate in external presentations


  • Ph.D. with 0 - 3 year's work experience relevant to position or relevant PostDoc (or equivalent experience)
  • Non-Ph.D. must have demonstrated the ability to ably and independently perform all elements of the job, have exceptional capabilities in own field of expertise and the potential for creativity and external collaboration
  • Experience with multiple analytical systems and developing connectivity solutions using state of the art programming skills (e.g. R Shiny)
  • Extensive hands-on experience with quantitative aspects of mass spectrometry and a thorough technical capability in sample analysis using chromatographic platforms coupled to mass spectrometry detection systems
  • Extensive knowledge of molecular biology and biochemistry
