SAS Senior Tech Analyst

The SAS Sr. Technical Analyst will help execute asset sales across multiple platforms, product types and portfolios, and will work in conjunction with the Asset Sales team. The individual will need to be able to bridge the gap between technology and business with a strong focus on timeliness and quality control.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Provides technical oversight across systems and applications; leverages skills across multiple technology infrastructure areas.

+ Applies in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.

+ Responsible for delivery of end results timely and accurately.

+ Persuades and influences others through strong communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties.

+ Applies comprehensive understanding of how multiple areas collectively integrate within technology infrastructure to contribute towards achieving business objectives.

+ Solves / works complex problems / projects through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes and industry standards; performs root cause analyses.

+ Create complex project plans, perform impact analyses solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolutions to restore services

+ Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service

+ Design testing approaches, complex processes, reporting streams, and create automation of repetitive tasks

+ Review requirement documents, define hardware requirements and examine and update processes and procedures as necessary

+ Provide technical/strategic direction and act as advisor/coach to lower level analysts

+ Develop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities and best practices

+ Responsible for overall operating system applications

+ Contribute to technical direction and strategic decisions

+ Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

+ Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

+ Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


**Qualifications:**


+ 5-8 years of experience with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement

+ SAS experience required

+ Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience

+ Ability to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline

+ Experience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment preferred

+ Effective written and verbal communication skills

+ Effective analytic/diagnostic skills


**Education:**


+ Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience

**Additional Qualifications**

Working experience with at least three of the following programs: IBS or FDR system knowledge, Mainframe, SAS (required), SQL, COBOL or JCL.

BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Demonstrated experience working with vendors and clients (internal and external).

Expert experience working with Microsoft Office tools, specifically EXCEL and ACCESS.

Ability to multi-task and make sound judgments in a fast-paced, high stress environment.

Good oral and written communication skills to enable effective communication between peers, seniors, vendors and technical contacts.

Knowledge and understanding of the software development project lifecycle.

Ability to function well in a team environment and with limited supervision.

Directly impacts the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams.

Knowledge of Recovery is preferred.


This position may be able to sit at additional Citi Operations sites.
