Manage Cepheid operating expenses within budget

Provide corporate representation and overall management of our LATAM South distribution partners on a national, regional, and field level covering the territory of South America.

Work with distribution partners to manage and grow Cepheid business in all healthcare markets including, but not limited to, regional and local reference laboratories, large multi-specialty clinics, women€™s clinics, other physician office laboratories, community healthcare clinics, college and university student health centers, long term care facilities, STD clinics, urgent care/walk-in clinics, jails and prisons, public health laboratories, hospitals and free standing emergency departments.

Manage forecasting, pricing, and contract negotiations.

Report results, ongoing issues, market insights, strategies, tactics, and feedback to peers and management.  

Conduct quarterly business reviews with distributors.

Organize webinars, symposia, and workshops for both distributors and customers. Manage the use of sales aids and collateral. Manage and coordinate introduction of new products.

Operate as a liaison between Channel Partners and Cepheid to define and streamline processes.

Manage conflict resolution as necessary.

Responsible for achieving individual monthly revenues goals for Cepheid€™s targeted menu in LATAM South Region, except for Brazil.

Bachelor degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology and Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent is required.  Master of Sciences and Business Administration (MBA) highly appreciated.

6-9 years of experience in the region.

Knowledge and skills (general and technical):

Leadership and ability to interact with different players inside and outside organization.

Fluency in English and Spanish

Experience on IVD Diagnostics

Other requirements

Availability to frequent travels approx.. 50% of the time.

Interaction with Cepheid pairs as finance, marketing, service, TSS team members, Customer Care and Regulatory Affairs Departments.

External Interactions: Distributors, Customers, local Government Officers.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of successful sales, sales management, and/or marketing experience within the healthcare industry, preferably in molecular diagnostics or microbiology, as well as a minimum of 2 years of previous distribution management in the region. A high acumen for revenue attainment, sales target achievement, and strategic sales planning is essential for this role.

Administre pron³sticos, precios y negociaciones de contratos.

Informe los resultados, problemas actuales, ideas de mercado, estrategias, t¡cticas y comentarios a sus pares y a la gerencia.

Realizar revisiones trimestrales de negocios con distribuidores.

Organice seminarios web, simposios y talleres para distribuidores y clientes. Gestionar el uso de ayudas de ventas y colaterales. Gestionar y coordinar la introducci³n de nuevos productos.

Operar como enlace entre Channel Partners y Cepheid para definir y agilizar los procesos.

Gestionar y coordinar la introducci³n de nuevos productos.

Gestionar la resoluci³n de conflictos segºn sea necesario.

Se requiere una licenciatura en Bioqu­mica, Microbiolog­a y Ciencias Farmac©uticas o equivalente. Maestr­a en Ciencias y Administraci³n de Empresas (MBA) muy apreciada.

6-9 a±os de experiencia en la regi³n.

Conocimientos y habilidades (generales y t©cnicas):

Liderazgo y capacidad para interactuar con diferentes jugadores dentro y fuera de la organizaci³n.

Fluidez en ingl©s y espa±ol.

Experiencia en diagn³sticos IVD

Disponibilidad para viajes frecuentes aprox. 50% del tiempo.

Interacci³n con pares de cefeidas como finanzas, marketing, servicio, miembros del equipo de TSS, atenci³n al cliente y departamentos de asuntos regulatorios.

Interacciones externas: distribuidores, clientes, funcionarios del gobierno local.

El candidato exitoso tendr¡ un m­nimo de 6 a±os de experiencia exitosa en ventas, gesti³n de ventas y / o marketing dentro de la industria de la salud, preferiblemente en diagn³stico molecular o microbiolog­a, as­ como un m­nimo de 2 a±os de gesti³n de distribuci³n previa en la regi³n. Una gran perspicacia para el logro de ingresos, el logro del objetivo de ventas y la planificaci³n estrat©gica de ventas es esencial para este papel.
