Sales/Lead Development Manager

Job Description

The SDR Manager will manage and grow the Sales Development Representative (SDR) and Lead Development Representative (LDR) teams whose goal is to generate revenue by driving qualified leads and pipeline growth for sales teams.

The SDR Manager's responsibilities include:

  • Recruit, train and optimize a team of SDRs/LDRs responsible for inbound and outbound sales engagements

  • Train and mentor our SDRs/LDRs on existing outreach tactics, time management, objection handling, prospecting tactics, upselling and active listening skills

  • Responsible for creating and iterating the sales development process, methodology, campaigns, hiring profiles, training and enablement

  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to ensure success of marketing campaigns

  • Work closely with Sales to improve opportunity management, lead management and identify key accounts to develop

  • Work in collaboration with Content, Marketing Program Managers, and Product Marketing to develop effective messaging for outbound communications to your team's assigned accounts

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing operations to ensure the SDR/LDR team has the best tools to do their job, and that they are configured to ensure SDR/LDR efficiency and productivity.


  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales roles with a proven track record of sales success is required

  • 5+ years of management experience in B2B Sales or Sales Development is required

  • Proven track record of delivering sales pipeline through leading inbound and outbound prospecting teams

  • Proven track record of success as an SDR manager, experience managing and improving Sales Development KPIs, and working knowledge of sales development technology/tools

  • Results driven, proactive, structured, detailed oriented and comfortable analyzing results, making recommendations for improvement

  • Preferred experience in successfully working cross-functionally across multiple departments within a company (i.e. Marketing, Operations, etc.)

  • Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.
