Position Summary

Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative will partner with Field Sales to source and mature cloud deals in the net new space. Primarily responsible for driving Outbound lead generation into net new accounts and managing Inbound leads delivered by Marketing within a specific territory and in partnership with the field. Once a lead is sourced, also responsible for leading the qualification, discovery, and demo stages of a sale before passing qualified opportunities over to the field to close. Post Demo stage support of sales will also be required, ranging from executing on RFP's to managing internal sales functions (deal desk, CPQ...).

Position Overview

·Generate sales opportunities and/or appointments through cold-calling, campaign calling, following up on inbound marketing leads, and event invitation calling.

·Collect intelligence data on prospects and maintain prospect data while documenting all communication in CRM system.

·Maintain close working relationship with the Field Representative to establish primary focus on prospecting efforts and facilitating a smooth transition to all opportunities post P2.

·Be an expert on the cloud products being sold, and effectively navigate the early stages of a sales cycle.

·Assist in post P2 sales activities that could include driving RFP timelines and responses, managing internal contracting processes, building presentations/quotes in partnership with the field, and other general selling activities. 

EDUCATIONAL/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

·4-year degree 

·Strong understanding of sales related technologies (CRM, LinkedIn, Sales Navigator...) 

·Ability to effectively communicate with others. 

·Team player with ability to build strong peer and interpersonal relationships. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

·One year experience with Microsoft products. 

·One year of sales related experience preferably SaaS focused.

·Ability to grasp concepts and new technology quickly. 

·Driven to succeed. 

·Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
