Join our newly formed Honeywell Robotics team and embark on an exciting journey to design novel Robots and Robotics Systems for deployment in Warehouse and Logistics sectors around the world. Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex software functions for Industrial Robots in an Agile fashion.

 In this role you will lead and manage a group of hardworking and talented engineers who provide and develop expertise to facilitate the success of software engineering projects and programs. Our goal is to build and deploy plug-and-go robotic systems in Warehouse or Distribution Center environments. We also want you to help enable our sales and marketing teams to quickly assess customer opportunities and recommend realistic and workable Honeywell solutions both at the Robot and System level using prototypes to demonstrate clear business value.

To accomplish this objective, you will recruit, develop and lead a highly technical team of software engineers.  You will help drive the technical strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams.  Your team will be responsible for integrating components from open source, universities, and partners into commercial robotic systems. The work will span maintaining Honeywell robotic software libraries, implementing embedded digital control and Machine Learning Algorithms as well as interfacing to Honeywell€™s Momentum or select third party Warehouse Execution Systems (WES).

    • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science
    • Master€™s degree in Software Engineering is a plus
    • Proven track record of recruiting and developing world class software organization
    • At least 10 years of Software Engineering management experience
    • A minimum of 5 years experience in building complex robotic software systems
    • Experience with cloud technologies and platforms
    • Need a demonstrated track record of working in an Agile/Scrum environment and delivering high quality software, using modern techniques such as DevSecOps against aggressive timelines
    • Experience developing in C, C++, Java, and Python.
    • Experience with ROS/ROS2
    • Knowledge of motion planning, computer vision, controls, and machine learning
