The Global Institutional Clients Group (ICG) Limit & Exposure Monitoring Team (LEMT) is integral part of Citi Risk organization. LEMT is responsible for global process of monitoring credit limits. Major responsibility of LEMT is to assess the correctness of credit risk reported and to actively manage it. This requires both knowledge of how risk exposure is calculated and how it is reported to be able to notice any errors, inaccuracies and to facilitate fixing them. LEMT cooperates with credit managers, quants and technology. The Team contributes to the improvement of how the risk-related processes and systems work which strengthens Citi controls and meets regulatory requirements. The Team has been growing significantly over last two years: from around 7 to 43 which offers various development and promotion opportunities.

Job Purpose:

The role is for a Credit Delivery Administrator within the LEMT. Credit Delivery staff provide a single point of contact for the FX business ensuring that the front office teams have access to correct credit information in the firms systems. Validation of credit limit information relies on multiple contact points, located in multiple time zones using multiple systems.

The Credit Delivery team facilitates FX trading in the following ways:

+ Data Quality investigations, analysis and resolution to ensure that traders can see the appropriate credit information on their systems and that customers can see the appropriate availability information when using electronic FX trading software.

+ Dealer discipline monitoring of transactions after the fact to demonstrate the absence of dealer discipline issues, resolve linking or booking problems and ensure correct credit exposure reporting.

+ Administration of the Banks Credit Programme which allows FX trading for customers who would not traditionally be part of our target market.

Team is administrator of the Payment Period Capacity (PPC) application. The process was designed to address the requirement of the Federal Reserve Board (FRB) to improve the management of the settlement risk of FX transactions. Due to the regulatory nature the process of a great importance and is very visible in the organization.


+ You will be responsible to quickly react to situations where key Citi electronic FX/Derivative customers are unable to trade. You will investigate the situation, interact with Markets Sales and Trading and Credit Risk Managers to either implement a solution to allow the customer to continue to trade within Risk appetite or stop trading.

+ You will monitor an FX Settlements exception queue for the FX trading locations in the region. You will investigate and advise operations on how to proceed with settlement and where necessary, facilitate credit approvals to proceed.

+ You will work closely with portfolio risk managers and settlement operations to review and resolve settlement exposure breaches.

+ Working with databases and systems you will need to be able to feel comfortable with managing a lot of data, analysing it and presenting it in a user-friendly way.

+ You will need to work as a part of the team and take ownership for the results you deliver.

+ You will also need to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in other areas of Risk.

+ Your role requires solid understanding of Citi credit products and how their risk is computed.

+ You will gain knowledge about financial and capital markets transactions, including derivative and foreign exchange trading, risk exposure generated, and how this affects extensions of credit to various clients. (In case you don't have a solid knowledge of risk/financial transactions you have to like numbers and be a fast learner.)

+ You will create presentations and documents for internal and external use on topics such as Risk Group functions, margin methodologies and risk issues.

+ You will analyse control environment including periodic review of the control environment, vetting of new systems, processes, policies, and procedures, ensuring they are in sync with market practices.

+ You have to demonstrate a positive attitude and pride in your work, be reliable and eager to do more, propose improvements and complete additional projects.

+ The role requires strong analytical skills and attention to details.


+ Bachelors degree, Masters degree preferred

+ 3-5 years of experience in Finance, preferably in corporate credit risk managementFluent EnglishAdvanced Excel & MS Office knowledgeStrong analytical skills and understanding of numbers

+ Experience of FX and Derivative products and FX settlement operation process an advantage.

+ Familiarity of credit risk management and risk systems is a plus

+ Financial and/or technical background is a plus
