**Job summary:**


The Citi Private Bank (CPB) Release & Change Manager will work across various PB tech projects delivery lead/team, Project Managers and UAT/Production Support deployment teams globally to manage successful releases. This role will apply technical & functional / domain expertise to understand the release content/scope from technical & functional aspect for the various applications part of the release across various products & functions. This role will also require program & project management SDLC expertise with focus to understand & setup required Governance and Execution standards & processes.


This role with work collaboratively with all active stakeholder participants in the global consumer technology release cycle, to adopt new technologies, implement improvements in software engineering processes, workflows, practices associated with deployment, software, and infrastructure upgrades. This role will also work with all product teams and Enterprise product partners to identify post release implementation retrospectives/issues for future improvements or mitigations in order to enhance the subsequent release implementation experiences. This role will also ensure the post release check-out activities coordination between various teams from technology & business.


**Job Background/Context:**


+ The position is based in Jersey City (alternate location: Tampa) reporting to the CPB Tech Global PMO Head

+ The position in individual contributor role and will work in Matrix organization setup across PB tech projects releases

+ As part of large, geographically distributed team(s), this role will work with the stakeholders across multiple functional areas

+ The position requires strong interpersonal, communication & analytical skills to engage, negotiate & prioritize the actions during the complex & multi-faced situations to pursue the best outcome possible for PB tech team & organization


**Key Responsibilities:**


+ Understand release & change management & implementation standards, tools & processes set by the sector / Consumer technology to further implement into PB technology

+ Lead Release Implementation planning for PB technology globally - Implementation plan, runbook which integrates all product deployment, file extension, data conversion, Technology stack upgrades etc.

+ As the Lead of the release implementation team, to lead/oversee the planning and execution of Monthly/Major releases for PB tech globally along with applications technology teams and Core infrastructure teams

+ Lead In-Depth Release Implementation reviews with product teams to understand the purpose of their deployment activities and the application & infrastructure dependencies involved, BAU functionalities/downtime impact and to align and fit these activities into the overall deployment execution plan.

+ Lead Safety and Soundness/End of Vendor Support etc. initiatives governance, release Implementation planning and execution covering in-depth end-to-end review, exit criteria, deployment impact, downtime review, country specific regulatory implication, customer experience on channel and post- implementation sanity checkout as needed

+ Deliver Quality Projects in Production by ensuring that projects met the predefined exit criteria, and the project artifacts are strictly adhered to the Citi Release Management policies and procedures.

+ Identify and manage Risks, establish Mitigation plan to avoid/mitigate any issues having impact on the release scope, schedule, and quality.

+ Improve the release & deployment processes to achieve 1-click deployment by building CI/CD pipelines using required tool chain

+ Communicate and socialize all crucial highlights of the release implementation plan, downtime requirements, scheduled outages as well as key incremental updates with required teams globally

+ Oversee the coordination, execution and tracking of the entire PB Technology release within the communicated Release Implementation deployment window

+ Timely and comprehensive milestone reporting of release overall implementation status on actual cutover day through consolidation of critical inputs from various stakeholders

+ Generation as well as on time escalation for release deployment issues to the Management team

+ Oversee the management of post release implementation deployment retrospectives, categorization, cause-effect analysis and the tracking of the retrospectives to closure to ensure similar issues are not repeated for subsequent release implementations

+ Coaching the team / members for various implementation team roles and responsibilities to build up the implementation teams core competencies and redundancies


**Skills Required**


+ Experience as Release & Change Management / Engineer in large cross-functional technology teams across various applications releases by ensuring required dependencies management

+ Strong experience in building CI/CD pipelines using tool chain Git/BitBucket, TeamCity, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy

+ Strong understanding of JIRA (dashboards, releases/FixVersions, navigating through Epics-Stories-Tasks etc.) to track & manage various releases

+ Strong understanding of change management tool (ServiceNow) to traverse through different stages of Releases

+ Experience in managing large scale releases implementation as SAFe RTE (Release Train Engineer)

+ Excellent in engaging with various tech & business stakeholders at varied level to align them towards the common objectives

+ Excellent in managing & mitigating the risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions throughout the various stages of programs & projects

+ Possess strong written and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, leadership, and contributors, with a mix of diplomacy and assertiveness

+ Strong collaboration and negotiation skills to work across various teams globally

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze & resolve the issues coming on the way

+ Ability to take on the work with minimum guidance and lead as own initiatives

+ Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities

+ Flexible and adaptable


**Qualification:**


+ Bachelors degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering)

+ 12+ years of total experience in large IT organizations preferably in financial services industry

+ 6+ years of experience as Release or Change Manager or Engineer

+ Preferred professional certifications: PMI Portfolio Management Professional, PMI Program Management Professional, Scaled Agile Framework Release Train Engineer, Any other release or change management related, Any other DevOps related
