General Overview


The Registration Specialist is responsible for maintaining the registration systems, databases, and web sites in order to deliver a seamless experience for registrants for online and onsite registration as well as looking at ways to improve processes to make them more efficient for future events.


 


You Will Have



  • A Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in meeting and event registration preferred

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Previous relational database experience, including report-writing

  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • A collaborative approach

  • An ability to translate business rules into technical requirements

  • A strong attention to detail without losing focus of the big picture

  • Experience with online credit card processing systems, multi-currencies preferred

You Will Be Responsible For



  • Liaising with IT and the registration vendor to test registration systems, functionality, and integration to ensure the registration process includes all business rules and event requirements

  • Assisting the Registration Supervisor in the development of registration processes

  • Providing quality control for online registration sites, content for event websites, and badge printing

  • Collecting and organizing all business rules and registration details related to each Rotary International event

  • Setting up registration for each event in the database and creating registration forms to gather all necessary information from each registrant

  • Responding to email and phone correspondence for registration related inquiries

  • Troubleshooting and resolving registration issues

  • Processing refunds and submitting refund payment requests for credit card and non-credit card payments to Finance

  • Applying payments to registrations received by form

  • Serving as the secondary registration report contact for the Meetings and Events team, other areas of RI, appropriate Rotarians, and Rotary Senior Leaders

  • Creating ad hoc reports by request using SAP Business Objects

  • Sending out scheduled bulk emails using an e-marketing system and the RI Registration shared email box
