The Heart Institute at the University of Washington Medical Center has an exceptional opportunity for a full time Registered Nurse for the outpatient Cardiology Clinic/Echo position. The UW Medicine Heart Institute nurses do not work holiday shifts allowing for work life balance in the beautiful northwest community.

If you are a highly organized, creative, and dynamic nurse who can help deliver highly interactive care and education to patients and be a good advocate for our patients and their families, this is the position for you. We require an RN with exemplary communication and teaching skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

The RN will collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team consisting of cardiologists, surgeons, interventionalists, other sub-specialty nurses, advanced practice providers, research team, and administrative staff to coordinate, support, and optimize the medical care of our complex patient population.

The Echo RN is responsible for managing the patient undergoing different Echocardiogram and Stress tests and doing Definity and Bubble Studies on the inpatient and outpatient setting.

Strong IV skills and conscious sedation experience desired.  ACLS and BLS required. 2 years of outpatient or inpatient Cardiology/Telemetry experience required. BSN strongly preferred. Must be able to work Saturday shifts and be able to cover satellite locations, i.e South Lake Union.
