The Regional Business Director provides strategic
direction and leadership for the cardiovascular sales and therapy support
organization in a region. To develop and execute business plans for the growth
of the cardiovascular products and services and the well-being of
cardiovascular customers and patients.

**A day in the life.**

Coach and
develop a Regional Leadership Team

Identify and
connect with clients, understand their most pressing business problems and
deliver high value services which improve the productivity, quality and
competitiveness of Healthcare Providers and support the implementation of
integrated care strategies.

Manage and
implement the necessary change management strategies in areas such as talent
management, territory alignment, sales and therapy support practices.

Deliver accurate
forecasts/updates and effectively manage a regional P L budget

Work with
regional team and marketing on pre-tender plans.

strategic oversight, guidance and responses to tender submissions inclusive of
pricing models, segmentation strategies, service models, value-added benefits
and inclusion of Medtronic services (ex. Integrated Health Solutions).

Work in
conjunction with the Health System Strategies (HSS) organization and other
shared services within Medtronic of Canada as well as within the regional
business units to create and execute long term strategies that will drive the
full potential of the cardiovascular business in the Canadian healthcare

Manages the
day-to-day activities of a sales team in order to implement the organization's
overall sales strategy for an assigned region/district/geography.

analysis, and implements strategies.

Coaches sales
representatives on the technical aspects of the organization's products and
services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques,
procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.

Develop and
execute high quality Regional business plans and strategies to achieve short
and long term objectives.

Partner with
strategic Hospital accounts to drive complex transformational change, implement
innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways and
optimize operations.

relationships and partner with other Healthcare stakeholders and payers and put
Medtronic in a position to expand its services across the care continuum,
implementing integrated care models to _provide care at the right place at the_ _right time, thus improving outcomes and access for patients, as well asoptimizing the end-to-end costs._

Negotiate and resolve major price and contract issues.

Perform administrative tasks related to management, expenses, and asset

Lead the execution of creative marketing programs to demonstrate the
value of Medtronic Cardiovascular technologies to customers and patients aimed
at increasing access and increasing the penetration and market share of the
Cardiovascular market.

Lead, guide, engage and coach direct reports to set and achieve
business targets, improve selling and negotiation skills and productivity,
implement effective account strategies and tactics and build sustainable
customer relationships. Ensure compliance with required training.

Participate in cross functional initiatives.

Instill talent management mindset: recruiting and training high caliber
employees committed to excellence in sales and therapy support performance,
people and influence management, customer care and partner relationship

**Must have.**


Knowledge of
the medical device industry

+ Minimum of 7 years of relevant sales experience

+ Ability to travel 30-50% of the time

+ Prior experience in collaborating and operating in a matrixstructure

+ Strong track record of coaching, and developing direct reports

+ Demonstrated capacity toevolve in an ambiguous market dynamic

+ Strong planning, businessand financial acumen.

+ Demonstrated experience inmanaging key and strategic accounts

+ RFP/tender experience inmedical device space

Knowledge of
Cardiovascular Disease and cardiovascular products is an asset

Knowledge of
the Medtronic Cardiovascular business model, processes, and markets is an asset

Knowledge of
the Canadian healthcare market and dynamics is an asset

+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience

+ Experience in a Cardiovascular or similar medical device-relatedfield is an asset

+ Experience in Marketing

+ Fluency in both written and verbal English
