The Builder Channel Regional Sales Director overseas and provides leadership for a multi-state regional market area creating the sales plan for Samsung brand execution going through Builder Distribution managing a team of 9 remote Account Managers as well as creating the strategy for all builder trade customers SF and MF relationships.

Role and Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for achieving all Sales revenue goals for Samsung builder sales in the Central Region
  • Coaching and enabling a team of 9 Sales Managers to achieve Sales, quote generation and quote pipeline wins goals
  • Create and manages the distribution strategy and relationship leadership for all Builder distributor partners in the region
  • Create the SF/MF builder strategy for the region directing negotiations of contracts and programming for the region - also develops in region SF National relationships
  • Provides input and manages all S&OP processes to ensure support of product, credit, marketing funds - works cross-functionally to achieve sales plans
  • Interacts with internal managers of Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales Operations, Finance, Credit, pricing and quote team, Order/BOC, Sales Analysts, Service leadership to function to support our distributor order to cash process - HR for people management, performance reviews, Demand Gen/sales ops to manage MDF and budget for regional use and Product Marketing team to help with product management and development.
  • Major and daily interaction with Builder Distributors, Retail/Builder distributors, management level and about/owners of business, Builders and Developers, purchasing/construction directors/VPs and innovations team as well as and Design and Architectural firms
  • Have frequent interactions with the Senior Director of National Builder Sales along with the VP of Builder Sales to discuss sales, distribution, program negotiations, etc.

Skills and Qualifications

Necessary Skills / Attributes:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 10 to 15 years progressive sales leadership career 15 plus year working in the home appliance and home building industry
  • Trade customer relationship management, negotiations and market strategy to convert builder business through distribution
  • team building with emphasis in leading a remote sales organization and inspiring high performance sales team culture and individual performance
  • Problem solving, working through the complexity of the builder channel and the still "start-up" new business channel within a large corporation
  • High performing, multi-skilled individual who has been part of the builder channel organization from inception, tirelessly drives for and delivers results, works incredibly well with internal and external customer, and leads the team and represents Samsung with integrity and able to adapt and drive for continued evolution/change of the business. Very desirable and recruitable sales leader.
  • Major and daily interaction with Builder Distributors, Retail/Builder distributors, management level and above/owners of business, Builders and Developers, purchasing/construction directors/VPs and innovation teams as well as Design and Architectural firms. Large volume of builder industry customers and multi-layers. To promote and imbed Samsung brand to the builder industry to get specified and win the business. There is a lot of presenting to many layers of the builder clientele base the director needs to understand all facets and departments within SF, MF, MRO, hospitality, remodeling, influencer segments and competitor offerings to convert business. The Director is an example as a coach to the Account Manager team to do this on a daily basis. Diplomatic skills to navigate a very savvy industry that tests suppliers regularly.
  • Role is remote but must live within the Central region (TX, LA, OK, AR, MO, KS, IA, NE, IL, WI, MN, SD, ND)
