To support our Restorative Therapies Group (RTG) for ABGIN region we are currently looking for a passionate and strategically minded Regional Market Development Specialist with excellent communication/ interpersonal skills, out of the box thinking mindset and natural ability to provide different perspectives, that may influence overall direction. This is a great challenge for a self-motivated individual with a strong execution and negotiation skills, minimum 5 years of experience in Medical Devices/ Healthcare industry within product marketing, market development, sales or Health Economics. Fluent English is required, and any local language is a strong advantage.


**A Day in the Life**

As a Market Development Specialist you will be responsible for defining, developing and leading execution of the regional market development plans with the aim of addressing and overcoming the barriers to adoption of Technologies or Therapies in the field of Restorative Therapies. These barriers may vary from market to market and across the therapies. They can be internal, external, environmental, structural, behavioral or capacity driven, and often complex.


This position is key to ensure a successful execution at the country level of broader EMEA market development initiatives. The Market Developer will lead complex cross-functional projects, in close collaboration with the Regional (ABGIN) and EMEA Marketing team, Commercial and Business organization, Medical affairs teams to ensure patient access to Medtronics Restorative Therapies and business expansion. He/she will act as the Go to person for ABGIN market development and will interact with various seniority level in the RTG organization.


You will report to the Senior Marketing Manager ABGIN.


We expect you to be able as well influence across functions and geographies as identify and lead projects that are relevant for the business development and may span outside immediate job area.

Furthermore, you able to lead and work effectively within a matrix organisation and could act as a mentor or a coach to another team member.

To be successful in this role you have to be a strong team player, sensitive to the commitments of others. We expect you to have strong strategic / analytical capabilities, communication/ presentation skills and interpersonal effectiveness.


Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the EMEA and ABGIN (region) RTG Businesses in defining and driving execution of their market development strategies and programs

Defining regional priority barriers, opportunities and needs for adoption of Medtronics Restorative Therapies and developing/ executing action plans to address these barriers

Helping streamline all Market Development initiatives across RTG in the region, by establishing, prioritizing building the key project charters in order to tackle the barriers in a systematic, methodical way, focusing on key countries and therapies

Managing defined Projects using Project Management Office methodology

Leading regional market development execution by driving accountability, measuring and reporting results to senior leadership quarterly

Tailoring regional market development programs to specific country needs and barriers, including referrals programs

Continually evaluating and recommending timely adjustments of strategies and execution tactics to meet changing market and competitive conditions, including revision of associated market models. Ensure this feedback is shared with EMEA and regional BUs

Driving PAA in the region, in close collaboration with EMEA, HER, Medical Affairs, Marketing and the businesses

Strong communication pathway with all regional marketing partners to share best practices, ensure alignment and measure progress

Establishing strong relationships with influential healthcare professionals including those in clinical and health economics.

Engaging when needed with key opinion leader (KOL), medical society or patient association in collaboration with the Business, Medical Affair or Marketing team to establish care guidelines, guide clinical evidence, awareness value-based care initiatives that drive acceptance of key procedures and RTG Therapies

Participating in the development of key marketing collateral or campaign and necessary materials required to remove the assigned barriers to adoption

Ensuring that the respective commercial teams have necessary tools to communicate these value messages to customers in a confident and competent manner

Being an active member of the marketing team, propose new directions and help think out of the box

Contributing to an environment of collaboration, trust, achievement and high engagement.


**Must Haves**

Minimum 5 years experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in medical devices, with relevant experience in product marketing, market development, sales or Health Economics

Being used to managed complex and large projects, requiring extensive information gathering, analysis and investigation, dealing with multiple function and seniority level stakeholders.

Experienced in negotiating with stakeholders to reach an agreement in order to advance projects. Anticipate issues and deal with them.

Strong and on-time execution focus with stakeholders including sales teams in a dynamic environment with an ability to be agile.

Understanding of healthcare system and experience of working with all levels of national/regional systems

Project Management and prioritization of large projects, with proven track record of planning and execution.

Self-motivated and self-directed initiative, experienced in working with limited oversight and guidance from manager, able to make decisions.

Experience influencing teams and working in a matrix organization.

Experience in creating a network of KOLs to support the commercial and clinical strategy

Experience in working with key (patient) societies and physician leaders to develop and execute strategic initiatives.

Being at ease with digital tools

Willingness to travel (40%)

Living in Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway or Denmark


**Nice to Haves**

Track record and experience in market development is a Plus
