**This is a field-based Medtronic GastrointestinalHepatology (GIH) team leadership position. The individual will lead a team of StrategicAccount Managers (SAMs) to exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas byexpanding utilization of GIH products through market development and sales-forthe companys portfolio of products in their assigned region. Regional Managershire and develop SAMs in their sales territories, work with the SAMs in theirsales territories on a regular basis and review individual SAM salesperformance. The SAM will call on hospitals and their primary purpose is torepresent Medtronic and our products to the end user to facilitate purchases ofour product by healthcare providers. The Regional Sales Manager will manage andlead the SAM in their assigned geographic region. The RM is expected todemonstrate GIH Regional Manager competencies as they meet and exceedobjectives for this role.**


**PLAN EXECUTE**


+ **Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual region sales quotas.**

+ **Drive GIHcommercial sales strategy, process and methodologies across region.**

+ **Conduct 2-3 days offield rides with each SAM at least once each quarter to observeperformance.**

+ **Evaluate SAMperformance, and develop/execute action plans for improvement. Follow-upwith written field coaching reports in a timely manner.**

+ **ImplementMedtronics Performance and Career Development framework with their SAMsto ensure continued personal development and achievement of careergoals.**

+ **Create ahigh-performance environment within the Region that leads to sustainablesuccess.**

+ **Drive new productsales and key growth drivers of GIH.**

+ **Function as anintegral member of the GIH Sales Management team.**

+ **Establishexcellent relationships with all key opinion leaders in the Region.**

+ **Developunderstanding and ability to communicate the reimbursement process forour products.**

+ **Demonstrate a solution-focusedapproach.**


**CLINICALEXCELLENCE**


+ **Responsible for continuing education to understand and be able tocommunicate clinical and product knowledge of the entire GIH productportfolio and general GI disease state knowledge.**


**ADMINISTRATIVE**


+ **Consistently perform administrativeresponsibilities, such as expense reports, sales reports, and other business requests.**

+ **Develop quarterly region businessplans and effectively communicate them to their teams as well as seniormanagement.**

+ **Collaborate with cross-functionalcounterparts by consistently communicating and sharing best practices.**

+ **Attend internal sales leadership meetingsand plan and coordinate region level sales meetings.**

+ **Demonstrate proficiency by completing onlinetrainings within assigned timelines.**

+ **Adhere to theMedtronic Code of Conduct.**


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


**EDUCATION:**


+ **4-year college degree required.**

+ **Emphasis in Life Sciences, Medicine orrelated technical field ideal.**


+ **5+ years of experience with medicaldevice hospital sales.**

+ **GI/Ablation experience 2+ years of management experience preferred.**


**Nice to Have**


+ **Proven track record of exceedingsales quotas.**

+ **Establishedbusiness planning and forecasting experience.**

+ **Demonstratedformal sales skills training, preferably from a Fortune 500 company.**

+ **Good computerskills with specific skills in Microsoft Office: Power Point, Excel andWord.**


+ **Sales management experience**

+ **Medical device/equipment salesexperience**

+ **Experience with the CapitalSales Process**

+ **Experience leading throughorganizational change**

+ **Ability to establish and maintain goodworking relationships with all functional areas**

+ **Strong problem-solving skills**

+ **Ability to coach and teach others**

+ **Ability to multi-task and workindependently**

+ **Experience presentingreimbursement related medical device sales**

+ **Strong written and oral communicationskills**
