Allina Health Home Oxygen & Medical Equipment (HOME) offers oxygen and medical equipment solutions to help keep patients safe, comfortable and independent in their own home. With headquarters located in St. Paul, Minn., services are provided in 42 Minnesota counties, western Wisconsin and northern Iowa 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver, set up and assemble home medical equipment and supplies to include, but not limited to: oxygen, bath aids, hospital beds, walking aids, standard wheelchairs, CPAP, nebulizers, phototherapy
  • Instruct patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of equipment
  • Assess patient home environment, support systems and physical or mental limitations
  • Complete delivery paperwork and log sheets according to regulatory guidelines and HOME procedures
  • Submit paperwork and complete applicable data entry per department guidelines and timelines
  • Maintain driver’s license and applicable endorsements
  • Maintain acceptable driving record
  • Load and secure equipment and supplies into vehicle
  • Operate vehicle in a safe and lawful manner
  • primary responsibilities: setup of cpap and bipap equipment in office setting on patients

Education

  • High school diploma or GED

Qualification/Skills

Experience

  • 2 years experience with basic durable medical equipment and supplies
  • Experience preferred with advanced durable medical equipment such as enteral pumps, CPAP, phototherapy, and apnea monitors
  • Previous driving experience preferred, current class C commercial driver’s license with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements and DOT medical certification (or the ability to obtain all of these) preferred

  • Basic mechanical skills, simple mathematics, legible handwriting

  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and insurance coverage

Licensure/Certifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • Preferred: relevant clinical license such as Respiratory Care Practitioner, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 8 hr days
