**Job Description**

The Reasonable Accommodation Partner is responsible for engaging in the interactive process with colleagues, applicants and leaders when a colleague or applicant requests a workplace accommodation to perform the essential functions or to enjoy the benefits and privileges of employment due to a disability, pregnancy/pregnancy related condition, or sincerely held religious belief. The Reasonable Accommodation Partner recommends solutions to support requests for accommodations. The Reasonable Accommodation Partner tracks and follows all assigned cases to closure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Engages in the interactive process with colleagues and applicants in their requests for accommodations

- Interviews, collects, and analyzes information and documentation around requests for accommodations

- Acts as a liaison between operational leadership, colleagues, and any third parties in the resolution of employees reasonable accommodation requests

- Documents all actions and interactions within the interactive process via the internal Case Management system

- Determines trends and makes recommendations to the business on proactive/innovative approaches to accommodations within business units or locations to better assist the business

- Guides and influences leaders on effective RA management, interactive dialogue, and implementation of accommodations

- Must have creative approach to accommodations to best assist the colleague and the operational leaders, identifying reasonable alternatives or innovative options to allow the colleague to perform the essential functions or enjoy the benefits and privileges of employment.

- Reviews complex documentation for sufficient and complete information

- Adheres to all federal and state employment regulations, company policies and procedures

- Acts as a subject matter expert and resource to operational supervisors, colleagues, labor relations, or physicians regarding accommodation/work restriction issues and processes. Provides advice & counsel as appropriate and acts as a liaison between all parties when necessary.

- Maintains regular contact with colleagues, operational leaders, and other key stakeholders regarding progress and status of accommodations; assists in the resolution of any challenges related to the accommodation

- Works closely with other members of the team and others in teams within the overarching Advice & Counsel department

- Other Duties as assigned

**Required Qualifications**

3+years of experience in Employee Relations, Reasonable Accommodations, or related HR Discipline assisting employees/applicants with accommodation requests

- Must have familiarity with FMLA, knowledge of statues, regulations and guidance issued by the EEOC pertaining to ADA accommodations

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Strong oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills

- Strong customer service skills, including courteous telephone etiquette and professionalism; and the ability to exhibit patience and empathy

- Strong problem solver, ability to create and provide meaningful solutions applying good judgment and influence as needed; understanding the gray areas

- Ability to evaluate accommodation requirements and business needs

- Ability to negotiate and influence leaders

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a sense of urgency, timeliness and accuracy

- Maintain daily SLA

- Ability to handle difficult callers in a professional and empathetic manner

- Self-motivated and able to work independently, with minimal supervision while supporting a team environment

- Adhere to a high degree of confidentiality

- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

- Strong computer skills, prior use of case management software, Outlook and Word preferred


- Bachelor's degree required
