MQA Cash Equities Quant Development team is a dedicated organization independent from MQA Cash Equities Quant group within MQA. This global team is responsible for development, testing, simulation and overall infrastructure for the equities cash quant business. We work very closely with the quants team and aim to solve technical challenges they face on a daily basis while also providing our technical expertise and know-how on some more strategic and long term initiatives.

We are now expanding globally and looking for strong Java Developers to join the team.


Overseeing development, release and testing standards

Supporting release builds and ensuring appropriate testing is carried out per release

Support, development & maintenance of the existing Quant Dev ecosystem and related infrastructure

Liaise with tech and be the interface with quants for any new development initiatives

Be involved in development and testing of any new initiates for the Equities Cash business

Develop comprehensive knowledge of how own area integrates within apps development and other technical areas

Ensure quality of tasks and uphold high technical standards of the team

Work alongside quant strategies group to review code and enhance back testing capabilities

Solve problems independently, manage own workload, engage with other teams where required, escalate appropriately and pro-actively drive tasks to completion


Strong Java developer with excellent knowledge in Java 8 and experience of Java server side development

Good knowledge of Java multithreading, Spring Boot framework

Full technology stack knowledge of Java to Linux and networks

Experience with REST based API

Good knowledge of messaging middleware such as Tibco EMS/Kafka/Rabbit MQ

Full SDLC experience or knowledge of tools such as - Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Ansible, etc

Strong team player with an ability to manage conflicting priorities and work independently

Prior knowledge or experience of trading systems is highly desirable

KDB/Q and/or Python experience is a plus

Prior knowledge or experience of cloud containerization is a plus


Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred.
