**Position Overview**

The main objective of the QA Technician role is to provide
in-process and final inspection of CTQ dimensional measurements, and parameters
utilizing standard and special gauging. You must have MT and PT classroom
training with certificate in order to apply for the Quality Technician Role.
This role will support Gas Turbine Components.


+ The Candidate will be performing inprocess and final inspection of New App and Service - Gas Turbine Components prior to shipping outto our customers. They will be inspecting parts to ensure compliance withEngineering drawings and specifications.

+ The main objective of the QA Technicianrole is to provide in-process and final inspection of CTQ dimensionalmeasurements, and parameters utilizing standard and special gauging, CertifiedLevel II NDE (VT, MT, & PT) requirements to specification and drawing.Validate documentation compliance and approving in OIL. This can includescanning and uploading validated documentation into SAP or the QN. Confirmingoperations as complete in both Oil and SAP. You will be responsible to create,verify work/rework, and close quality notifications.

+ This specific Quality Technician role willsupport Gas Turbine Manufacturing.

+ Qualified Applicants must be legally authorizedfor employment in the United States. Qualified Applicants will not requireemployer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment inthe United States.

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, andExperience**

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Must have class room certificate in MT,and PT. **Class room certificate in VTwould be considered a plus. Must be able to acquired and maintain Level IIcertification in VT, MT & PT within a limited time frame specified byprocedure to remain in the role.**

+ 2 years of quality assurance experience ina Manufacturing environment.

+ Knowledge of standard gauging andspecialty gauging such as Micrometers (ID/OD, calipers, tri-mics, finishgauges, weld gauges, thickness gauge etc.)

+ Ability to read and understand drawings,blue-prints, process specification, standard operating procedures,manufacturing instructions etc.

+ Experience using SAP.

+ Ability to conduct in-process and finalinspection audits and be able to present results to management.

+ Completion of MT and PT classroom trainingwith certificate in order to apply for the Quality Technician Role. To maintainthe quality inspection role, you must become level II certified in VT, PT andMT. Job will be filled based on Qualification and not seniority. Interview willbe required.

+ Must be proficient with gauging (i.e.ID/OD mics, depth mic, calipers, no-go/go gauges, tri-mics, thicknessgauges, weld gauges, etc.). Be willing to learn specialty gauging such asfaro-arm, laser tracker, white/blue light scanning, etc.

+ Be able to work with minimal supervision.

+ Have excellent communication skillsverbally and written.

+ Incumbent will need to be flexible andsupport where needed to ensure manufacturing productivity and efficiencies.

+ Work and collaborate with COC supervisors,engineers (ME, MAS & Quality), managers and technical managers as requiredon product specific to that COC.

+ Be able to document dimensional results,NDE finding precisely and accurately.

+ Be able to validate paperwork submitted bymanufacturing carefully, accurately and communicate any out of specificationcondition followed by a quality hold or QN as warranted.

+ Be willing to work overtime both daily andweekends as required.

+ Be willing to participate in continuousimprovement activities, workshops and events as necessary.

+ Any other task that management may deemnecessary to ensure productivity and takt adherence.

**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

+ Experience in oil industry

+ Cross training in MHG, new app and servicewill be required.

+ IL, email etc
