Quality and Reliability Engineer
Job DescriptionThis position is for a Supplier Quality and Reliability Engineer (QRE) in the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization, supporting Systems Supply Chain and Technology Enabling (SSC) Organization.
QRE will be responsible for the quality and reliability of passives and RF component used in Intel's outsourced manufacturing network and will need a deep background in passives component engineering.
QRE will collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Engineer (SCE), Business Unit (BU) design teams and the supplier base to understand Intel's component needs and integrate those needs with the best supplier solution in the broader component ecosystem
Job responsibilities will span component life cycle from component initial design through HVM manufacturing, with a quality and reliability emphasis.
The Quality and Reliability Engineer will also be responsible for:
Supplier quality and reliability management systems
Change management
On-site supplier quality assessments
Component qualification and reliability
Supplier outgoing quality control
Factory incoming quality control
Excursion management and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Passive component engineering, design, manufacturing, packaging, assembly, and/or system design and architecture.
MS or 5 years experience in Materials Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or other relevant Engineering field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in Quality Management Systems
Knowledge of statistical analysis and component quality and reliability, including stress methods, tools and acceleration model
Knowledge on passive and RF component manufacturing process
Strong technical understanding of electrical circuit, signal transmission, circuit matching
5+ years of experience of demonstrated influence and collaboration within organization, across organizations, and with suppliers

Willingness to travel, both domestic and international, to conduct on-site supplier quality assessments or excursion response audits

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
