UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in our Womens Health Care Center. The Women's Health Care Center Psychiatric APP is a member of the interdisciplinary collaborative team working with the Womens Health Care Team at the UWMC Roosevelt Clinic. Responsible for providing WHCC services independently and collaboratively with appropriate privileges, including initial and ongoing assessment, diagnosis and treatment.

Full time days, Monday - Friday.

  • Provides timely initial assessment, diagnostic evaluation, management, and  follow-up of patients.
  • Participates in the interdisciplinary evaluation, management, and follow-up of patients using appropriate clinical practice guidelines.
  • Collaborates with the WHCC Team and other providers to insure coordination and continuity of care for patients across settings and over time. 
  • Participates in appropriate interdisciplinary team meetings, rounds, and serves as a resource for staff.
  • Provides patient and/or family with health education, counseling and referrals to other health professionals and community resources as appropriate.
  • Participates as a key member of the interdisciplinary team through the development of collaborative and innovative practices and evaluation of patient care outcomes.
  • Evaluates quality metrics for the WHCC Team through participation in the development of WHCC quality indicators

  • Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in patient care.
  • Training and experience in the provision of psychiatric services including initial assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and management of patients preferred.
  • Nationally certified ARNP/PA-C with DEA.

  • Current and valid Washington State Registered Nurse Licensure and ARNP Licensure or Physician Assistant License.
  • Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or graduate of an accredited PA program.
