Location/Division Specific Information

This position is located in Logan, UT, USA

How will you make an impact?

This position is part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team which includes mechanical engineers, controls engineers, project managers, and technicians all of whom, as a team, are responsible for equipment across multiple division manufacturing sites.

What will you do?

This position is responsible for projects involving new equipment and equipment improvements designed to improve productivity, capacity, cost reduction, and efficiency. It is responsible for project communications to stakeholders including regular updates, potential roadblocks, identified risks, and upcoming plans. They will coordinate projects at all stages from initiation through delivery including initial approvals, planning, execution, and close-out.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Technical preferred) with 5 years demonstrated applicable experience
  • OR, Master’s degree (Engineering or Technical preferred) with 3 years demonstrated applicable experience
  • OR, minimum of 8 years demonstrated applicable experience with professional certifications

Experience

  • Experience in analyzing data and applying objective judgement to resolve problems
  • Experience in managing multiple complex engineering projects
  • Experience in successfully executing to project deliverables including budgets and timelines
  • Experience in projects involving automation systems for high-mix/low-volume production desired
  • Experience in machine design to applicable ISO standards and CE directives desired

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated team leadership and management skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with the ability to effectively prioritize activities
  • Medical Device/Biopharmaceutical manufacturing (i.e. GMP, FDA, ISO 13485) experience desired
  • Self-motivated with good problem solving, communication, and coordination skills
