The Programs Marketing Specialist will play a critical role in evolving the various educational and member-focused programs at General Electric Credit Union to expand their impact, reach, and engagement with all member segments throughout their financial journey. As the largest credit union in the Greater Cincinnati area, educating our members and communities and providing information to make smarter financial decisions is important. This position will be responsible for determining how best to position and promote programs and events of the Credit Union. Experience in marketing is preferred as they will lead the engagement efforts for our programs to increase awareness for our members, community, and team members. They will support the Credit Union strategic direction while staying abreast with current events and hot topics to ensure content is relevant to todays consumer.


 


Key



  • Lead, coordinate, and manage all Credit Union programs.

  • Generate content, design collateral, and coordinate all marketing efforts to promote the programs for the Credit Union.

  • Account for the overall vision and take GECU seminars/workshops and webinars to new heights while ensuring they align with our mission and vision as an organization. Broaden the scope, reach, and overall value making them sought after. Establish a routine, effective method to gain feedback from attendees, track KPIs, and deliver regular reporting of every program along with recommendations for future initiatives.

  • Stay up to date with financial industry topics our members and the community want to learn about and plan efforts accordingly. Pursue new opportunities from the community to educate our members on trending topics and make our events known across the Tri-State area.

  • Launch a webinar series for members and non-members in our communities to learn about financial topics from the comfort of their home or whenever, wherever. Work with others to ensure successful execution of virtual events. Record and create a library of resources for members.

  • Develop a robust calendar of seminars/webinars with ever-expanding topics relevant to different personas based on their financial journey.

  • Develop a strategy for the Credit Unions Silver Dollar club including events and newsletters; mature this club and its prominence to make it a club every member wants to be a part of. Assess the quality of the offerings and value of the program.

  • Pursue and develop new program opportunities for the Credit Union to engage and educate our members and community.

  • Plan and coordinate new branch openings making them well-known in the community and an event members and non-members alike want to attend.

  • Create and maintain program budgets reporting on them routinely.

  • Attend seminars/workshops (may be outside of typical financial institution hours) to be the onsite resource and day-of coordinator and contact for speakers, team members, and attendees.



 


Requirements:


Bachelors in Marketing/Communications or related degree with 3+ years of work experience in program development. Has a passion for developing, coordinating, and executing events and organizational programs. Is detail oriented, thoroughly organized, and has outstanding multi-tasking abilities. Has a positive, upbeat personality; is motivated, enthusiastic, responds well to change, and constantly learns to improve. Creative and methodical in nature. Open to working non-traditional financial institution hours to support events and efforts; is comfortable with a fast-paced work environment. Possess incomparable communication skills and thrives when working with various departments and vendors. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative (Photoshop and InDesign).
