Description:

Reporting to the Business Manager and in support of the Program Manager, Program Engineer and Cost Account Manager, the Program Scheduler is responsible for the creation, updating, analysis, monitoring and integrating of programs schedules and preparation of U.S. Government required reports along with support for proposals to the customer.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for new or existing development programs from Proposed Integrated Master Plan (IMP), which satisfy company and customer reporting requirements for program status.  Assist in the development and status of reporting critical path networks.
  • Maintain schedules, perform Risk Analysis, identify and resolve critical path issues and network logic conflicts
  • Maintain cost and schedule integration
  • Identify potential risk areas, formulate and recommend corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, funding re-alignment, work requirements, resource re-alignment
  • Interface with all functions at all levels in creation and maintenance of schedule data including presentation of schedule activity status, and gathering of status in meeting with all functional levels.
  • Analyzes program schedule status (resources, schedule duration, activity constraints, relationships of activities, critical path)
  • Reviews and evaluates current scheduling methodology on a continual basis.
  • Performs special project and studies as required.  Performs varied program planning, scheduling, and monitoring of an involved nature, such as assist senior planning personnel by researching and gathering specific data, i.e. resources, schedule duration, activity constraints, relationships of activities, and interdependencies.
  • Analyze historical program performance data to develop schedule and cost estimates in support of responses to proposal requests.
  • Assist in the creation and development of proposal schedules, and in negotiations, audits, and fact-finding.
  • Participates or contributes to process/quality improvement teams or initiatives.  Identifies and recommends improvements to processes, practices, or materials which lead to positive results in quality and efficiencies.  Supports or implements performance driven changes in processes and procedures.
  • Preparation of monthly Internal Program Reviews and required US Government reports.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
    • Entry-level professional with broad theoretical job knowledge.
    • Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks.
    • Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information.
    • Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines.
    • Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results.
    • Ability to obtain a Secret DOD security clearance.
    • This position requires meeting adjudicative requirements for access to Special Programs.

      Preferred Additional Skills:

      • Earned Value Management System experience: to support the control of costs and schedules of Military contracts in a rigorous cost/schedule control system environment. 
      • Data accuracy is of the upmost importance.
      • Working in a team environment supporting various organizational needs.
      • Be an active participant in maintaining a high level of quality and pride of workmanship within the Program Finance Office.
      • Excellent Software PC skills including: Microsoft Project, Excel, Word & Power Point.
      • Good communication skills required.
      • Active DoD Secret Clearance within a six-year investigation period.
