What Youll Do

You will help drive the day-to-day communications program for Ciscos Executive Vice President and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. An equal mixture of strategy, coordination, content creation, and planning, the Program Manager will help vet and prioritize customer, partner, internal, and external opportunities, and help the team execute and the Executive prepare for each event. You will manage an overall calendar of activity, and make strategic recommendations based on the needs of the business. Additionally, you will contribute to and eventually own the social media strategy, ensuring we are maximizing each event and continuing to build the voice and brand of our Executive, and sharing key wins of our function.


Or, to restate the paragraph above as simply as possible: were very busy. We have an overwhelming amount of amazing opportunities in front of us and we need help tying everything together. Can you please help us be more organized and deliberate in the short term, and more orchestrated and strategic in the medium to longer term? We need your organization, your creativity, your sense of humor, and your hmmmtheres not a process for this but it seems important so Im just gonna create one and see what happens kind of attitude to take this program to the next level.

  • Manage an overall activity calendar and make strategic recommendations on events and opportunities
  • Prepare and/or organize briefing materials for customer and partner meetings, internal meetings and industry events, in close partnership with relevant account and event teams
  • Develop content and manage the delivery of messaging for internal and external videos, working closely with key partners to collaborate on messaging and deliverables
  • Develop and manage social media strategy
  • Research and develop new creative communications channels for both internal and external messaging
  • Work in partnership with team leads and cross-functionally to integrate and align messaging into corporate communication activities and events
  • Research recent and relevant statistics and data for use in content and messaging development
  • Assist in managing the customer and partner engagement model, including managing customer and partner correspondence
  • Demonstrate consistent communications excellence while executing flawlessly
  • Ensure messaging alignment and consistency across the organization and company

Who You'll Work With

As part of the Sales and Marketing Leadership team, you will work closely with our Global Communications partners, the Executive Leadership team, our Sales teams, as well as other partners across the company. The Sales and Marketing Leadership team is focused, fast-paced, adaptable and always looking for fun and creative ideas. We use data and storytelling to communicate our company vision and strategy to internal and external audiences.


Who You Are

  • You have 4 6 years of related experience and a Bachelors degree in communications, business administration, or related field
  • You have 2+ years internal/external communications in varied disciplines, such as organizational communications, executive communications, and public relations
  • You have experience in building strong relationships with a broad, deeply-integrated group of stakeholders.
  • You understand the executive's business strategy and can help drive and implement the communications planning and execution to deliver on that strategy.
  • You demonstrate the ability to work across multiple communications disciplines, as well as a strong knowledge of the business.
  • You have experience working with senior executives, are a strong collaborator, a strong writer, and have the ability to partner globally across a mix of constituents and organizations.
  • You bring a curious and innovative approach that is digital-savvy and have experience in message creation, storytelling, PowerPoint and Excel.
