Abbott Diabetes Division is looking for a

Program Manager EMEAP - Operational Excellence in Supply Chain (m/f/d)

based in Wiesbaden to set up and manage supply chain related programs and projects to execute with our Countries and 3rd Party Service Provider best-in-class service for Abbott Customers in our Abbott Diabetes Care division and its new business model for the region. Her/his major focus will be the delivery of supply chain management (SCM) excellence around our breakthrough FreeStyle Libre technology of Flash Glucose Monitoring in the Diabetes Healthcare market. Freestyle Libre is directly available for clients/patients on our web-shops and in different reimbursement distributions channels such as pharmacies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support our Director Business Operations in running operation of our central service provider with its call center locations in Germany, France, UK and Russia, and our local in-country operations in EMEAP

  • Execute process change requirement definition in a team and its formal documentation within our Supply chain business operations function

  • Drive project management for SCM improvement projects such as pperations excellence, quality standards, forecasting, staffing

  • Drive projects in the SCM space for step-change (innovation) and continuous improvements, including:

    • KPI & performance tracking improvements

    • Delivery related CS contact reduction

    • Delivery of SCM support for new product launches

    • Operations excellence

    • Ongoing improvement of quality standards, cost and speed of WH fulfillment

    • Cross-functional analytics

  • Initiate and drive projects to achieve customer satisfaction (delivery speed, defect-free delivery etc.) in all areas

  • Investigate any service level discrepancies and take corrective action to ensure continuous process improvement

  • Be actively involved in innovation and change projects with different functional teams in globally, on area or within countries

  • Support and drive initiatives to enable continued growth, such as Warehouse (WH) output capacities etc.

  • Build and maintain strong cooperation with External 3rd Parties (Service provider), countries (supply chain managers - ambassadors), central functions (procurement, global logistics, demand planning, finance etc.)

  • Analyze and improve all Supply Chain Management related aspects of customer-experience/journey to ensure and increase customer satisfaction through dashboards, KPI’s, etc.

  • Analyze and improve existing processes and implement new (smart and lean) processes if and where appropriate

  • Shape the Supply chain infrastructure / landscape of the future with our delivery partners

  • Maintain customer satisfaction levels by providing daily problem-solving resources and root-cause analysis

  • Actively execute with countries forecasting and budget process

  • Execute & support formal change procedures, such as defining requirements and delivering change request documentation

Your Profile:

  • Post graduate diploma or University degree and/or adequate degree and on-the-job business exposure with solid work experience

  • Minimum 6 years of work experience (supply chain, project mgmt, process improvement) required

  • Proven project management, documentation and organizational skills

  • Proven lean management skills

  • Keen awareness and adherence to timelines

  • Action and solution-oriented; self-driven, hands-on and proactive

  • Team-player who takes on accountability and enjoys connecting with people in an international team

  • Excellent communicator

  • Experienced in service provider governance

  • Experience in cross functional cooperation with logistic, quality, procurement, finance and demand planning teams

  • Ability to document business requirements and qualify and quantify their effects

  • History in developing programs to improve processes and quality in Supply Chain Management

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Fluent in German and English; other European language is a plus.

  • Travel up to 30%

  • Experience in a mass market or healthcare / med-tech environment is a plus
