Job summary
The AWS DynamoDB team is looking for highly organized, team-first-mentality program managers, who are willing to commit themselves to our goal to grow the business by 10 times over the next 2 years.
DynamoDB is a key-value database that delivers single-digit-millisecond performance on a massive scale and incredibly high rate of requests per second. A lot of businesses, such as Disney, Dropbox, Snap, The Pok©mon Company, as well as AWS and Amazon external and internal services, depend on the scale and performance of DynamoDB to support their mission-critical workloads.
DynamoDB program managers will have the opportunity to work through unique challenges working with and maintaining our massive scale. As a program manager you will work on cross-organizational initiatives to maintain compliance, patching, and scaling of our front-end fleet. You will also be the voice of the customer helping engineering teams gather requirements for and deliver new customer features.
Key job responsibilities
Work with engineering teams to:
€¢ Maintain patching and security complaince.
€¢ Scale DynamoDB's FrontEnd fleet.
€¢ Scale DynamoDB's network infrastructure.
€¢ Gather customer and stakeholder requirements for new features.
€¢ Drive cross team projects required for new feature delivery.
€¢ Be the voice of the customer.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years experience in program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT management, or equivalent experience.
