Program Lead Target Operating Model, Payments and Receivables

This role is responsible for management of Target Operating Model for Payments and Receivables with an aim to ensure optimum operations efficiency and exceptional client experience. It involves governance and tracking of a globally standardized operations framework that supports the common core payments ecosystem focused on digitized solutions and process standardization.

The candidate will manage senior stakeholder communication and collaborate with key stakeholders across TTS product management, technology teams, line operations areas and the client service delivery teams .


+ Manage Target Operating model program globally with a goal of measuring our operational and service capabilities against clearly defined global standards on process, location and technology solutions for payments and receivables.

+ Provide a current and target state view across payment workstreams and ensure alignment to the strategic goals required to support our Clients, Operations and Service partners.

+ Monitor and track initiatives across key payment workstreams with focus on standardization of processes, globally scalable, digitized Technology solution and a comprehensive location strategy.

+ Outline operating index scorecard across existing and new payment products, i.e. Instant / faster payments, eWallets, Cross border wires, ACH etc. and continually monitor and highlight opportunities for improvement to ensure alignment to the target end state.

+ Collaborate with cross functional working groups that aim to implement strategic and tactical solutions in support of the Target model and ensure tasks are executed in a timely manner.

+ Consolidate and maintain target model work stream plans, in conjunction with capability owners and regional leads outlining deliverables, milestones, critical path items and actions.

+ Support the creation and management of Operations projects in alignment with O&T project management standards.

+ Establish appropriate governance model (in partnership with Product and Technology) to deliver the program.

+ Align leadership, stakeholders (internal and external) and program team members to the strategic objectives of the program.

+ Apply strong project management disciplines on implementation and delivery of initiatives.

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


+ Project management and time-management skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

+ Strong communication skills particularly in writing, and presentations to senior management to facilitate effective decision making.

+ Strong creativity, self-motivated, with a passion to transform the business.

+ Strong drive and initiative ability to multi-task, extremely practical bent to work, planning and getting things done

+ Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and early ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of an organization, even in remote circumstances


+ 10+ years of experience with banking and financial service organizations.

+ 5+ years of experience in a related role is preferred.

+ Experience in running complex implementations that require new product functionality/product development

+ Proven track record of consistently strong performance and excellent project delivery.

+ Sound understanding of Payments & Receivables business, key technology and infrastructure and process framework is preferred.

+ Experienced in delivering transformation programs related to Cash Management will be an advantage.


+ Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred
