**A Day in the Life**

Safely operate and instruct others to the proper use of production equipment to run efficiently at high quality levels. Follow safety procedures and practices at all times. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment for yourself and those within your area. Conduct quality inspection of work in accordance with SOP procedures. Ensure product work flow to maintain schedules.


+ Motivate and coach employees

+ Assist supervisors on special projects

+ Attend and participate in daily huddles

+ Coordinate Kappa Tests

+ Assist on training

+ Ensure that the priority lists are being followed in all areas

+ Cover for Supervisor

+ Update and review SOPs

+ Identify root cause and present ideas to solve it

+ Participate on A3 and CAPA Investigations

+ Monitoring efficiency thru the areas

+ Performing GEMBA Walks

+ Distribute Recognize awards to employees

Safety oriented.

Leadership ability to manage many different classes of people equally dealing effectively with issues and complaints.

Plan and assign work to complete production schedule.

Assign priorities to personnel.

Excellent communication skills.

Manage temporary Medtronic employees

Cross train production operators.

Train operators to appropriate SOPs

Follow-up on NCR Non conformity reports

Coordinate with the technical teams (Supervisors, Technician, Engineering).

Follow up with Team Leader and/or production operators from previous shift to be aware of any concerns with equipment, material or personnel issue.

Become involved in Lean / six sigma projects by attending product/project meetings or becoming part of a team when requested.

Handle hazardous materials appropriately learning the proper and safe process and implementing it at all times.

Interact with computer controlled equipment and processes requiring basic computer skills.

Facilitate group discussions to solve problems.

Monitor breaks and lunch (2-20 minute breaks per shift)

Record requested vacation/personal days.

Lead exercise group


Lean Concepts

Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and shift rotation.

Properly complete manufacturing documentation.

Lead and complete projects as assigned

Cross-train to work in several areas.

Other duties assigned with or without accommodation.

Maintain 5S throughout the team (Autonomous Maintenance, Lean)

Display a discipline approach to process management


Report to Supervisor or Superintendent when applicable.

Work with maintenance, engineering and quality.

Ability to manage many different classes of people equally dealing effectively with issues and complaints while keeping morale high

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Minimum of 10 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience

**Nice to Have**

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Works well in a Team environment

Understanding 5S and Lean a plus

Ability to solve problems

Ability to guide others to accomplish goals


Work efficiently and with minimal supervision.

Complete and verify batch sheets.


The Team Leader will use his/her discretion when deciding to shut down a malfunctioning machine.

Understand product quality and make quality minded decisions.

Taking a discipline approach to process management.

Meets requirements of internal and external customers.

Sets priorities according to schedule and projects.


Mistakes processing material as intended usually results in scrapped materials and extensive labor to rework products resulting in lost profits
