In this position, you will be working in the Assembly and Test Technology Development (ATTD) group to design, develop, deliver and support leading edge scheduling, execution control, and dispatching capabilities for Intel's advanced Assembly Packaging factories.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Analyzing, prototyping and experimenting with factory wide planning, scheduling and dispatching algorithms and solutions that optimize output, cycle time, and equipment utilization with environmental requirements and constraints throughout the factory.
  • Work with automation and manufacturing engineers to create algorithms that optimize this factory performance in various scenarios.
  • Interact with manufacturing engineers, factory planners, industrial engineers and automation engineers to create integrated solutions that improve manufacturing output and productivity.
  • Develop proof of concepts and initial pilots utilizing optimization, statistical analysis, data mining and machine learning methods to solve novel and diverse manufacturing decision problems.
  • Be familiar with and motivated to work following Agile/Scrum Methodologies
  • Be comfortable working with a very high degree of ambiguity, ability to make quick, informed decisions taking into account trade-offs.
  • Be able to quickly learn and master different aspects of Intel's business to deliver coherent value, and to continuously learn new areas of strategic research that would be impactful to manufacturing.

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.


Minimum

  • PhD degree in one of the following majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or related discipline


Minimum 1 year of experience:

  • Applying decision science tools to manufacturing systems and network flow problems.
  • Statistical analysis and operations research
  • Math programming languages (CPLEX*, ILOG OPL Studio*), scripting languages, data mining, visualization, and factory simulation tools.
  • Software design/development on Microsoft Windows platform using Visual Studio, .Net Framework, WCF, WPF, XML, Oracle/MS SQL databases. Graphical UI development experience.
  • Software engineering practices, source control management, and automated testing methodologies.


Preferred

Minimum 1 year of experience:

  • Semiconductor Assembly/Test Area utilization optimization and/or machine learning.
  • AutoSched AP
  • APF Framework
