The AWS Industry Products (AIP) team dives deep directly collaborating with strategic customers on game-changing emerging technology and building new industry-specific products to spread the learnings and benefits of digitization across all industries. As a Product Manager in the manufacturing vertical, you will manage a feature development for products geared towards industrial manufacturing customers, partnering with AIP product leadership, customers, design, and engineering teams to build transformational products that deliver on outcome driven-business models, furthering product vision and strategy. #BDSI

We€™re looking for an accomplished product innovation leader with a background in industrial and manufacturing systems to work with a multi-disciplinary team of software developers, subject matter experts, solutions architects, usability researchers, and builders to deliver state-of-the-art digital platforms and solutions with and for our customers. A successful candidate can lead exploration with customers, raises the product technology bar, makes trade-offs between getting products quickly delivered and delivering on a long-term strategic vision, creates clarity for engineers in ambiguous and sometimes shifting requirements, and generally GSD €“ Gets Stuff Done.

In addition to the Arlington area, candidates in San Jose, or Austin will also be given consideration.

Key job responsibilities

Each AIP co-development is like a start-up. As the a product manager in this fast growing, exciting space you will own feature development for new offerings, synthesize customer feedback, maintain product roadmaps in coordination with engineering, and be responsible for measuring and achieving business results. A successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think analytically about product and technical challenges, work cross-organizationally to deliver results, and dive technically deep to implement product capabilities.


€¢ 3+ years of product management experience or related technical program management experience.
€¢ 2+ years working at a software company focused on customer experience with a large number of users.
€¢ Demonstrated skills in defining product requirements and functional specifications, supporting customer research and user testing.
€¢ Experience working directly with Engineers and UX designers in an Agile development environment.
€¢ 4-year BA/BS required or equivalent years of industry experience


€¢ MBA or Master's Degree
€¢ Experience with BI, analytics and machine learning
€¢ Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems, showing a track record of using relevant data and insights to solve problems.
€¢ Experience in manufacturing
€¢ Experience working with products that are new to market, including startups.
€¢ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
€¢ Demonstrated track record of strong written and verbal communication to gain buy-in for product direction and crisply communicate product status updates.
€¢ Technical fluency with ability in understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule trade-offs and new opportunities with technical team members.
€¢ Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly products and customer-facing features.
€¢ Excellent organizational and presentation skills with the ability to successfully interact and influence across functions at all levels of an organization and with customers.
€¢ Quantitative background with proven ability to synthesize and make sense out of data.
