The **Staffing Program Category Specialist** has responsibility for assisting the Category Manager, in creating, recommending, implementing and managing a bank-wide strategy for the category of non-U.S. Bank employees, the Contractor Workforce Program. The value of this category is approximately $200M annually. Elements the category strategy will include: ongoing spend assessment, supplier recommendations, sourcing methodologies, transaction platforms, on-going supplier management, risk management and mitigation, pricing and contract negotiations, operationally sound, with continuous-improvement plans to maintain the U.S. Bank Contractor Workforce Program as an industry-leading category. Essential Functions: - Work with management to construct a category strategy that will deliver the greatest value and efficiencies to U.S. Bank according to the enterprises goals and objectives. - Demonstrate subject matter expertise regarding contractor and temporary staffing expenditures. - Recommend business practice changes that will improve the value of supplier relationships and overall program operations, resulting in greater value that can be quantified in measurable ways. - Manages multiple projects, maintains project plans and provides project related direction to less experienced team members including business line buyers. - Performs on-going category risk management activities, including audits, risk assessment and mitigation, contingency planning, risk reporting, and reputation risk monitoring. - Strengthen alignment with internal customers through collaborative communication. - Assist the category manager in oversight of the Managed Service Provider (MSP), and overall program operations, identifying opportunities for business practice improvements. - Support the MSP in their management of suppliers in areas such as, contractual obligations, rules of engagement, corrective action process, new supplier adoptions and performance management. **Qualifications:** Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - Three to five years of related experience - Experience with temporary staffing and MSP programs Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and listen well - Understands different sourcing and negotiating methodologies - Ability to delegate effectively, lead team members and projects - Strong analytical skills related to cost structures, cost modeling, and value analysis - Comfort and poise working with many different levels of management across the organization - Ability to think strategically, have creative problem-solving and issue resolution capabilities - Proficiencies in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and Word, utilizing redlines and change tracking - Knowledgeable of Vendor Management Systems (VMS), capable of reporting and analytics - Experienced in document writing, to include program SOPs, policies and work instructions - Strong organizational skills, able to maintain and access a large volume of critical documents **Job:** Accounting / Finance **Primary Location:** Missouri-MO-Saint Louis **Shift:** 1st - Daytime **Average Hours Per Week:** 40 **Requisition ID:** 190040187 U.S. Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a diverse workforce.
