Process Engineering Lead, Consumer Payment Operations

Enterprise Consumer Payment Operations resides in Commercial Operations but handles payments for virtually all of Capital Ones businesses, including ~50 million payments per month through 10 channels (e.g. mobile, bill pay, mail, ATM) for products like credit cards, home loans, and auto loans. 

We are seeking a top notch Manager, Process Management to lead process design and implementation for new products and services for Enterprise Consumer Payment Operations. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining end to end destination processes for Enterprise Consumer Payment Operations
  • Driving processes forward toward the destination
  • Identifying initiatives required to get from the current state to the end state
  • Prioritizing / sequencing necessary process changes
  • Installing processes in the operation
  • Identifying process risks/failure modes and identifying appropriate controls needed
  • Ensuring all processes documented appropriately
  • Designing controls and monitoring as an organic part of processes, including controls for specific legal and regulatory requirements
  • Assessing monitoring outputs to determine whether follow-on action is required
  • Identifying root causes of risk issues and events to drive process improvements mitigating these risks
  • Assessing feasibility and level of effort for process changes required by new products and services and drive implementation when appropriate

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of process or project management experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
    • Payments processing, especially in digital channels
    • Process engineering and documentation
    • Design thinking
    • Risk management, including control and testing design
    • Supplier management
