The Robotics Operational Readiness (ROR) team develops processes to deploy automation projects spanning a broad range of technologies: Robotics, Mechatronics, Sortation, Packaging, and Auto/semi-autonomous Mobility. The deployment packages we develop help our partners in the Robotics Deployment Engineering (RDE) Team to deploy automation projects at scale, safely, and with high quality.
We are seeking a Process Engineer (PE) who possesses a blend of technical and continuous improvement experience for the North America ROR-Advanced Technology team (ROR-AT team). As a PE on the ROR-AT team, you will develop process improvement solutions and drive standard work to help ROR Operations Engineers get technology projects ready for deployment. You will also develop and execute continuous improvement projects to help RDE improve their productivity and scale efficiently to meet any demand. Communication will be important in this role so will ensure that stakeholders and senior leadership have good situational awareness on projects, initiatives, and risks. To be successful in this role, you will need the initiative to act on improvement opportunities with speed, the maturity and confidence to work with ambiguity, creativity and inventiveness in problem solving, and the drive to deliver the highest quality results.


Roles and Responsibilities:

· Build tools/mechanisms/processes to improve the efficiency of the RDE Team in meeting operating plan targets
· Create process mechanisms to drive implementation of the best standard work methodologies across a portfolio of advanced technologies; automate through new tools and workflows
· Create and maintain knowledge management systems to support products through all phases of development and maturity
· Support onsite deployments to understand challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and measure process standards through field validation
· Seek feedback from Design, Deployment, Post-Deployment Support and Operations teams to continue improving workflows, processes, standards and documentation
· Work with our data analytics teams to develop metrics to quantify impact of project work; make data-driven decisions from output metrics
· Establish and maintain intake process for new products
· Develop mechanisms to capture feedback from up/downstream partners or product design changes to update deployment documentation
· Manage the project lifecycle of complex solutions with the ability to shift between strategic and tactical levels of focus as necessary; delivers concurrent projects and owns programs
· Internal and external stakeholder management; communications, relationship/rapport building; using influence to affect positive outcomes
· Excellent written and verbal business communication skills including writing white papers, designing organizational communications, reporting metrics



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor€™s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
· 8+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing or robotics environment or 6+ years with a Master€™s degree in Engineering or similar discipline
· Experience in New Product Introduction environments including Phase-Gate product development
· 5+ years of experience in process improvement roles or similar roles such as continuous improvement, process engineering, or quality engineering/management
· Experience with value stream mapping and labor standards analysis
· Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent
· Ability to travel up to 50% as needed to support ops engineers and capture feedback in the field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master€™s degree in Engineering or similar discipline
· Lean Trainer
· Experience developing process automation tools or systems
· Experience in Design for X, and robotics/automation design or deployment
