The Amazon Robotics (AR) Operations organization manufactures high-quality robotics and gets the right materials to the right place at the right time to enable our automated solutions. It€™s a fast-paced operation that works cross-functionally with teams across Amazon globally, and is driven by data and performance indicators. The Operations Engineer I (Process Engineer) will be responsible for development, installation, validation and optimization of complex manufacturing processes / systems. The role will collaborate cross-functionally (ex. Quality, Supply Chain, Design Engineering) in order to define process requirements, procure and validate equipment and manage optimization / cost-reduction initiatives. The role will be expected to clearly communicate with senior management on project status, risks and change control.

· Development and Validation of processes specific to NPI programs.
· Own Process optimization and cost reduction initiatives for sustaining processes
· Write business and operational planning documents for capital equipment and plant infrastructure.
· Implement technology and tool improvements to impact Safety, Quality, and Cost targets.


· Bachelor€™s degree.
· 2+ years€™ experience in manufacturing environment and knowledge of GMP.
· Ability to manage and deliver projects with aggressive schedules.
· Experience and proven skill in written and verbal business communications, including writing white papers, designing organizational communications, reporting metrics. .
· Experience with Process Optimization Tools including Programming, Mapping, Simulation or various algorithms
· Experience in using Project Management tools;
· Experience in New Product Introduction environment including Phase-Gate process experience;
· Experience using industry Problem Solving Tools such as 8D, Fishbone/Cause-Effect, or CAPA methodology;
Experience using Quality-Statistical tools such as PFMEA and various statistical techniques such as control charting, pareto, or histograms.


· MBA or advanced Engineering degree preferred. · Uses a strong analytical approach to problem-solving.
· Experience in manufacturing / process improvement (eg. Lean-Six Sigma).
· Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP systems, and Tool / Equipment programming.

· Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in team settings.
· Willing to €œroll up sleeves and do what needs to get done€ to consistently deliver results.
