Principal TMS Business Partner, Integration and Alignment - Team Member Services

We are looking for a strong partner to join our TMS (HR) team. This person should be a self-starter that has excellent communications skills and brings a proven ability to build trust cross functionally between Whole Foods Market and our parent company. This person will set high expectations, create and deliver communications that will help the TMS organization continue to adapt and develop best practices that serve both Whole Foods Market and our parent company.

This position will report to the Global VP of Field TMS (HR). The Principal TMS BP will partner with TMS (HR) leadership to ensure Whole Foods Market’s policies and procedures are consistently applied in accordance with our core values.

  • Lead and design conscious integration of Whole Foods and parent company HR initiatives
  • Support the development and delivery of TMS programs and solutions that support the company’s continued growth, evolution and integration with our parent company
  • Lead the successful roll-out of integration initiatives across all regions and Global
  • Actively communicate with the Regional and Global Teams to provide transparency into TMS projects and goal achievement
  • Partner with the Global TMS leadership team to transform global functions as we build key strategic capabilities, while also delivering on current-state business needs; analyze data to solve for people problems within the business.
  • Develop and implement communication and change management strategies to support team members as they adapt to changes in the workplace that result from organizational changes related to our conscious evolution across regions and integration with our parent company
  • Build and maintain successful partnerships with various Whole Foods Market and parent company teams, ensuring projects are progressing and delivering desired results on time and within budget
  • Work with TMS leadership teams to implement specific goals and design and champion best practices
  • Delivery against discrete aspects of the Whole Foods – parent company HR integration project plan


    • Ability to influence change in the presence of ambiguity and a decentralized working environment, including the ability to influence “up” as this position will work closely with executive leadership  
    • 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions including Coordinator level experience
    • Has led complex projects from idea to execution
    • Proven experience having executed a roll out of new standardized processes and systems
    • Experience in performance management, succession planning, recruiting, leadership development, change management, employment law, and employee relations
    • Experience in working cross functionally in driving change across work streams in a position that leads, mentors and coach’s other leaders
    • Ability to inspire trust and maintain confidentiality
    • Excellent judgment, problem solving aptitude, flexibility, creativity, and diplomacy
    • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior leadership
    • Strong emphasis on servant leadership and listening skills
    • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment and anticipate future needs
    • Appreciation of the Core Values, mission, and higher purpose of Whole Foods Market
    • 4-year degree in Human Resources or related discipline preferred
    • Travel up to 25%
