Description:

As a Sensors Engineer for our Systems Engineering organization, you will get the unique opportunity to work on leading edge products across the Space & Sensors Division, focusing on infrared sensors.  This position will lead development of new technologies and proposals in infrared imaging, working as the point of contact for a variety of government laboratories, such as NRL and AFRL.   This position is focused on leading pursuits, special projects, internal research & development (IR&D), and advanced programs in New Product Introduction.  This position reports directly to the Systems Engineering Discipline Lead for the Space & Sensors Division.

Essential Functions:

* Lead technology development and support business development with government laboratories

* Develop and maintain the technical roadmaps with Division Leadership and provide technical presentations with internal and external customers

*  Advance Space & Sensors Engineering technologies to meet business needs.

* Lead pursuits and proposals in the business, including writing technical proposals and developing product architecture

* Act as Principal Investigator on key IR&D efforts in the organization.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field with 12 years of experience; or a Master's degree with 10 years of experience.

* Experience as a Principal Investigator or equivalent, leading advanced development programs.

* Experience working with Government Laboratories in developing new technology and products.

*  Experience building strong relationships and effectively partnering with internal resources; customer focused

* Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; Active Secret is preferred.

Preferred Additional Skills:

* Strong balance of skills on both the strategic and tactical organizational levels.

* Ability to convey information and ideas, including strong executive communication and presentation skills.

* Demonstrated ability to deliver and sustain measurable results.

* Ability to coach, mentor and build relationships with internal and external engineering teams.

* Advanced degree in Math, Science, Engineering or related STEM discipline is desired.
