**Space Systems Sector is seeking a Principal/ Sr. Principal Software Information Assurance Engineer located in Huntsville, AL to support the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program.**

**Your responsibilities Include:**
Deriving software assurance requirements from standards, contract requirements, statements of work, processes and program plans.
Developing a Software Mission Assurance Plan and executing tasks per the plan
Participating in agile life cycle and product line development
Participating in sprint planning and backlog refinement
Ensuring build and verification testing of new features that are added in a sprint, as well as participating in full regression testing to ensure there is no degradation to previous functionality per plans
Participating as a member of the Software Configuration Control Boards, reviewing software changes and approving implementation using related software problem tracking tools
Witnessing software verification testing, software patches and software qualification to ensure compliance to requirements and procedures
Participating in product peer review and preparing approved product for configuration control and release before products are made available for internal or external customers
Assisting in the collection of status reports and metrics. Provide weekly and monthly status to the management
Performing process and product audits to ensure compliance to established standards
Identifying process and product non-conformances, determining root cause and supporting execution of corrective and preventive action
Demonstrating strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences


**Basic Qualifications:**
This position may be filled at either a Principal or Sr Principal Software Information Assurance Engineer level.

+ **Principal Software Information Assurance Engineer** : 5 years with Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.
+ **Sr Principal Software Information Assurance Engineer:** 9 years with Bachelor of Science in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.

U.S. Citizenship is required
Current, active Secret security clearance
Strong understanding of the Agile software life cycle
Must have an understanding of software and firmware industry processes
Experience with product compliance audits and resolving through a nonconformance system
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Previous Model-Based Systems Engineering experience
Must be able to travel (approximately 10%)

**Preferred Qualifications:**
5 or more years of missile systems or space launch systems engineering experience
Familiarity with Agile processes and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
SIPRNet experience
GMD or other missile defense experience
Previous experience working with a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer
Experience in systems engineering, requirements, and product development processes and application to complex weapon or space systems
Prior experience with Multi-Disciplinary Analysis and Optimization methods (e.g. model integration, Designs of Experiments, Variable Sensitivity Analysis, Engineering Optimization)
