Job summary
Amazon Advertising seeks the world's brightest and best Technical Product Managers to lead next-generation solutions that enable advertisers to reach customers across our owned and operated sites, on other high-quality publisher sites across the web, and on millions of desktops, mobile, and connected TV devices. We start with the customer and work backwards in everything we do, including Advertising.

At the same time, we obsess about customer trust and ensure that we build products in a manner that maintains our high bar for customer privacy. In this role, you will own a set of our Advertising privacy products' vision taking a global and holistic approach across market segments and businesses driving a €œprivacy as a product€ model. In this model, we look at privacy at the capability level that can be scaled out and up and configured appropriately to account for market segment nuances.

Working closely with engineering teams, technical program managers, privacy industry specialists, other product managers, and legal you will coordinate complex product initiatives across internal teams and stakeholders to prioritize roadmap features, and spearhead the definition of new capabilities through product and business requirements documents. You will have a high level of comfort with ambiguity, a deeply analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex challenges, and can effectively influence across organizations. You will dive deep into customer needs and data to understand issues, drive product development to deliver those needs, and communicate product goals, vision, and roadmaps to deliver products and capabilities that our customers love.


Key job responsibilities
* Create product goals, vision, requirements and roadmaps to deliver on a suite of global Ad Privacy products and capabilities
* Apply judgement to decisions based on data and knowledge of advertising, industry trends, privacy, and applicable technologies.
* Evangelize product vision through effective written and verbal communications at different levels of management through PRFAQs, PRDs/BRDs and 6-pagers.
* Work with senior product, engineering, and user experience leaders globally across Amazon Ads to define strategy, milestones, and requirements.
* Communicate product strategy, decisions, and roadmap progress to stakeholders and senior leaders.
* Obsess over your customers and work backwards to define tenets, customer experiences, long-term goals (3 year plans), focus areas, and key success metrics.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of technical product management, program management or engineering experience
  • 2+ years of experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Bachelor's Degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with privacy frameworks, privacy principles and/or compliance requirements (e.g. privacy by design, user data protection, GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, data inventory, encryption, anonymization, pseudonymization, privacy impact assessments)
