This leadership role will provide product leadership for software teams building Amazon€™s analytics services. We are hiring a Principal Product Manager - Technical to lead the product roadmap for significant investment areas in Analytics, such as federated queries across data sources, machine learning integrations with analytics, and simple-to-use UIs to manage and execute a variety of analytics workloads.

We are looking for a candidate that is obsessed with delivering the most customer-centric experience on the planet, showing proven success in ownership, bias for action, and thinking big. This seasoned leader will need to exhibit excellent judgment, prioritizing between existing versus new customers and between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence. Candidates should also be experienced business owners who are comfortable advocating for their vision with the most senior AWS leaders, but also working closely with customers and engineering teams to dive deep into details to make ideas into reality. We are a small, entrepreneurial team that operates independently, but with access to some of the top engineers in our field across AWS. We need a passionate product management leader who dives deep and has shown demonstrated success in building strong business cases, managing high-growth, successful large-scale product launches, and driving customer success.

What You'll Do

€¢ Influences large engineering org priorities
€¢ Defines long-term product strategy/vision in the DevOps space: Building, deploying, and operating large scale infrastructure
€¢ Solve complex problems related to enabling Service Providers to operate a large-scale infrastructure
€¢ Work with internal customers and partners throughout the capture and proposal process.
€¢ Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific proposal solutions and architectures.
€¢ Help partners develop architectures and understanding AWS services.
€¢ Develop deep expertise in the AWS technologies and the CP stack, as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.


· BS or BA degree
· 10+ years of experience, with at least 7 in product management or equivalent roles
· Strong technical acumen. Can dissect complicated technical problems, simplify experiences and innovate on behalf of our customers
· Both technically deep and business savvy to interface with and lead teams of all levels and disciplines within an organization, from engineers to senior leadership
· Experience collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from disparate sources in order to drive conclusions and recommendations
· Have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to work independently and effectively in a results-oriented, efficient environment
· Strong track record of delivering products and ensuring customer success
· Excellent written communication skills

€¢ Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
€¢ Demonstrated effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results
€¢ Proven ability to build and maintain executive level relationships.
€¢ Hands on development experience or full understanding of development pipeline and process
€¢ Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
€¢ Strong problem-solving skills; the ability to analyze problems and develop actionable and appropriate tactical plans quickly
€¢ Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
